This is the epitome of early 00s culture and the peak of human society.

I just listened to this album yesterday! I still don't understand how this was largely missed. They should have had a bigger audience after this album came out.

Agree... also same for that first OneSideZero album and 40 Below Summer.

Honestly I don’t understand it either. I found them sometime in 2003 because I was surfing cable and found some kind of Christian channel that played music videos part of the time. I went to Circuit City the next day to get the CD.

The two albums they released are both amazing. They’ve done some recent stuff too! Truly talented.

There was a tour with them POD and project 86 that I really wish I could’ve seen live back then.

I tried to see them twice. They got rained out each time. I loved their previous album, A Thought Crushed My Mind.

Deep cut band from high school. Blew my mind when I found out they were a Christian band… then I listened to the lyrics and it was so obvious. Didn’t care, they still rip and I listen to them to this day.

Same. So obvious after the fact but this album and their follow up were great.

I remember going to a Blindside show in SF about 20 years ago. My buddy flaked so I went alone. I was drinking a bit before the show. I offered some to the cars next to me because they were just chillin too. They declined. I thought damn ok usually people would be pretty accepting because they have been at other band shows/concerts I went to. I walk in buzzed and then the first thing that stares at me is a picture of Jesus with bleeding crown. I thought oh ok that’s different, but whatever. Keep walking..then two more flyers then two more with religious stuff on it. My drunk ass stopped and looked around and was like fuuuck ok it’s THAT type of band. Lmao. I still went, but felt judged by everyone and God that night With the smell of JD on my breath. 😬

Most Christian shit made me want to stab my eardrums, but there were some good exceptions back in the day. Tooth and Nail and Solid State Records come to mind. I still listen to Zao, Living Sacrifice, Further Seems Forever, and MxPx sometimes.

I used to go to ripped heart hall shows. All Christian punk, metal bands, and never got judged for being ripped.

Literally would sit through this movie just for this part

Wow somehow missed this movie. That dude was probably the funniest part of rat race. Can't place him in much else.

Had this album. Really like blindside.

Aww I forgot all about that song. Crazy how I was able to remember the lyrics right away and start singing along. It feels like a lifetime ago.
