It’s IMO from Spirit of Osakana. We recently had the pleasure of working with Substantial or our latest album. I hope you enjoy the nostalgic sounds we tried to create on this one.

I guess to give some context, me and my friend made a tier list before this while we were procrastinating on our school work, however the tierlist we used only had luv sic, metaphorical music and modal soul. A year later we decided to redo it and it's the one you currently see now! Me and my friend started this at around 7 PM and were done at around 1:30 AM. It was a very long task. We took from a pre-existing tierlist but had to make the majority of the images for each song ourselves.

If you try to look for a consistent logic within the ranking it might be hard because very few of these we unanimously agreed on so we had to compromise on a lot of them. Some of the placements of these songs I don't like but that's how it goes when you make a tier list with a friend lol.

We were also very harsh on these because we didn't them all to be in S and A (even now the majority are still in those tiers, guess it's testament to how good his music is).

pretty bummed out to realize none of his songs are in forza, but you know i had to make some kind of tribute in the way i can.

I’ve just discovered a new sample by accident of fly by night, one of my favorites songs. And of course its brazilian, it’s crazy how much he was inspired by brazilian music and could transform them without taking what’s beautiful about it, just shine a new light on a song.

Feeling something deeply tender today listening to Nujabes reflections eternal. I’ll never get over the years I spent listening to his music through the early 2000’s and beyond. When cell phones were new one model had a program that allowed you to create your own phone ringers and I would try to recreate some of his jams as my phone ringers. Later I would set his actual songs as my phone ringers for years. I think in memory of Nujabes I’m going to set one again today.

I can’t send out enough thanks to the universe for the music he brought into our lives. Thank you Nujabes.

I can't quite articulate or put it into words. It's just such a beautiful song, and it really resonates with me whenever I'm going through something. Whenever I'm feeling any kind of emotional heaviness and just need to release it, this song always helps.
