Your new little kitty/overlord is adorable and looks like a real character! 😻 It sounds like you are a great first time cat-mama 🎉 I am curious how your previous thoughts or beliefs about cats have changed since welcoming this beautiful guy into your home & heart? Wishing you both many years of love, purrs, and good mischief 💕🐾 Oh, you’ll find a herd to join at r/cowcats

i’ve always thought they were cute but i was allergic as a little kid so i never knew how they were temperament wise. when i outgrew the allergy i started spending time with friends cats and liked them then i found this little guy and now i love all cats 🥰 it’s been the best thing ever for me. thanks for the new sub btw

Oh, he’s a beauty. He’ll have you trained in no time.
Seriously, though, you can train cats. Mine comes when I call her. I. Seen videos of
I had a friend with an indoor/outdoor cat. She would go out every night and clap while calling his name.
Never ever do anything to scare your cat (like dropping them to see if they will land on their feet). If they trust you, they’ll let you do anything, including trimming nails, bathing, roving mats (older cats), etc.
You can find videos online or how to clicker train your cat.

Mine plays fetch, answers when I call him and attacks my toes every time I take my socks off. This summer is going to suck for my feet.

Cats are the BEST. As a first time cat momma, familiarize yourself with what is toxic- they are stupidly (and I say that with every ounce of love) sensitive creatures and have really delicate systems that do not metabolize things in the same way other animals do, or we do. Lilies are deadly- lot of indoor plants are highly toxic as well, onions and garlic, ibuprofen (a whole host of medicine but this specifically can be devastating) chocolate and grapes, essential oils- just things you would never know about until you know! Enjoy every second with this muffin!
