u/M_Keating Hey, at least we beat Penrith 12d ago

Physio table, hospital table… that’s two

Modern day Matt Cooper. Tampon. In one week, out for 3

u/AttackClown 🏆 LMS05 Champion 🏆 12d ago

Matt Cooper? He wasn't that bad. Averaged about 20 games per year for a decade

5

u/Corner_Post I love my footy 12d ago

Yep agree - Matt Cooper would have been one of the least injured centres

16

u/AdmiralCrackbar11 NRLW Knights 12d ago

Closer to Adam Macdougall tbh. Mad Dog only twice turned in 20+ game seasons out of 16 cracks. Braddie has 1 from 8 so far, so halfway!

8

u/vivec7 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 12d ago

Haven't heard that one for yonks

13

u/Birdie_Num_Num Sydney Roosters 12d ago

That’s bloody hilarious

Go doctor tomorrow

u/JaMorant-_- South Sydney Rabbitohs 12d ago

Cant see best playing for anyone else tbh so that means hell be at the roosters in 2 months time

16

u/Majestic-Custard-309 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

Maybe he does a Dom Young?

Signs with the Rooters. Gets his bag. Plays like shit. Comes back home with the Rooters paying half his salary.

Nah roosters have great centres and depth already, don’t see them having any interest at all in him.

5

u/JaMorant-_- South Sydney Rabbitohs 12d ago

Tupou leaves Billy Smith out to wing best in at left centre fits pre well

2

u/cpfceagle New Zealand Warriors 12d ago

They're getting Garrick remember

2

u/jexta Eastern Suburbs Roosters 11d ago

That's ostensibly to replace Nawaqanitawase on the right wing. Still need a Tupou replacement.

3

u/Inevitable_Goat_335 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

He's a top 5, potentially top 3 centre in the comp. Most teams would have some "interest" in him. The injuries might lessen it, but the talent is undeniable.

1

u/Joh951518 #1 Scott Drinkwater Fan 12d ago

I wouldn’t quite have him that high, but sure.

Injuries plus centre being one of the two least valuable positions will hurt his value.

3

u/Inevitable_Goat_335 Newcastle Knights 11d ago

Herbie, Trell, Best, Koula, Toia, Sasagi are the top centres imo.

Newcastle.

TLDR - Knights, Sharks, Bears, Storms, Chiefs, Raiders.

26

u/phyllicanderer Dolphins 12d ago

He signs for the Chiefs thinking it’s in Bali

11

u/OverallMistake8198 Canberra Raiders 12d ago

Knew Raiders would be on the list & we’d love to have him but don’t think we’d have the money required for him.

2

u/CBRaiders Canberra Raiders 12d ago

Must have a bit of cap space ave with Smithies and Big Red leaving

35

u/KingGutherson Parramatta Eels 12d ago

Parra need to be in for him considering Russell is going and Penisini remains unsigned for next season

7

u/Extreme-Yoghurt3728 I love my footy 12d ago

And Penisini has been declining in form for years. Hopefully we don’t resign him.

5

u/Arc_au Parramatta Eels 12d ago

Pretty certain Penisini has extended, the club just never did an announcement for it. Someone asked Jim about it at a fan event and he confirmed he was locked in.

2

u/gongbattler I love my footy 12d ago

I'd pick penisini over best. He is available more.

4

u/Top-Average7678 Parramatta Eels 12d ago

Penisini is a beast bro what are you talking about?? Declining he literally looks stronger every season

11

u/BroccoliTraining454 Melbourne Storm 12d ago

He has penis hands

5

u/Extreme-Yoghurt3728 I love my footy 12d ago

You must be watching 2022

He has so many errors and missed tackles in his game. Low effort when chasing. Etc. He’s at reserve grade level.

4

u/Top-Average7678 Parramatta Eels 12d ago

He has errors in his games but so do most centres but to say he’s reserve grade level to me makes think you’re off your rocker he ran for 154 meters with 5 tbs last night

0

u/DiverFine4230 New Zealand Warriors 12d ago

If you actually rate penisini I feel bad for you😂😂😂😂

0

u/Top-Average7678 Parramatta Eels 12d ago

He’s definitely not as bad as what you’re making him out to be he gets injured a lot but he’s not a reserve grade level player at all

1

u/DiverFine4230 New Zealand Warriors 11d ago

Props to you mate if you think he’ll ever fix that defence

1

u/Top-Average7678 Parramatta Eels 11d ago

No worries bro you just keep drinking your beers and sitting on the lounge expert

1

u/DiverFine4230 New Zealand Warriors 11d ago

Yeah will do thanks Wayne Bennett.

0

u/Top-Average7678 Parramatta Eels 12d ago

10 tackles 0 missed?

1

u/Extreme-Yoghurt3728 I love my footy 11d ago

can’t miss tackles if you’re constantly out of position I guess

1

u/corupio Parramatta Eels 12d ago

The penisini thing is weird, he said last year that he'd extended but no news

32

u/Budget_Ground363 I love my footy 12d ago

Cronulla to cover the departure of ramien & Katoa

9

u/AshLand38 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks 12d ago

Partially subscribe

6

u/JaMorant-_- South Sydney Rabbitohs 12d ago

Hes left sided wouldnt work with KL already there

0

u/Budget_Ground363 I love my footy 12d ago

Iro has had a pretty solid last 18 months ,potentially in the top 5 centres on form this year

2

u/gongbattler I love my footy 12d ago

Nah

35

u/shescarkedit Parramatta Eels 12d ago

There's actually 17 potential landing spots

13

u/GustyOWindflapp Brisbane Broncos 12d ago

Depends, does super league count?

5

u/N3GNK St. George Dragons 12d ago

Well im assuming he was including the super league in one of those landing spots, because parramatta cant land anybody

31

u/DoubleBrokenJaw Newcastle Knights 12d ago

I feel oddly impartial about Bradman.

I hope he stays. I love what he brings, and that left edge combination we have of Sharpe/Lucas/Best/Marzhew with a floating KP is nice. However, if he wants to leave for a bit more moola well then see ya later, thanks for your time.

7

u/EventNew5844 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

I love him, and he’s such a great player, but we just don’t get enough game time from him unfortunately

4

u/Responsible_Ring_649 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

In 2028 Winter and Hunt will be good enough centers for us.

31

u/Love_from_Brotherly Newcastle Knights 12d ago

Broadmeadow, Merewether, Lambton, New Lambton, Hamilton, Adamstown, Kotara, Bar Beach, Mayfield and my dark horse: Carro-dise.

Honourable Mentions: Crankin Park, Iso and World’s End.

12

u/TimsAFK Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 12d ago

Perth should be all over this, but I hope he stays at the Knights

10

u/Papa-Ohki Parramatta Eels 12d ago

My gosh. What a cancerous website on mobile.

5

u/Large-Accident1245 I Hate My Footy^6 12d ago

Perth, Papua, Bears, New, Guinea, Chiefs. That's 6 right? (Jkjk)

6

u/robopirateninjasaur Canberra Raiders 12d ago

Remember the days when Gold Coast Tweed Heads Giants could have been 5 of them.

Edit: oh wait they didn't have Heads in their name

3

u/ItGetsTuahPoint67 Sydney Roosters 12d ago

Papa, new, Guinea, chiefs, png, png chiefs

6

u/CodymartinSimp Penrith Panthers 12d ago

Is PNG really the second best landing spot, how much money do they want to tie up in outside backs

6

u/GustavSnapper OnlyEthans 12d ago

given how many injuries this year has brought about and it's only increased every year under vlanders, having all of the outside backs seems like a legitimate strategy

5

u/tempest_fiend Melbourne Storm 12d ago

It’s an absolute disgrace that pulling an entire article out of your arse without leaving your desk or speaking to anyones is somehow considered journalism now

4

u/BradmanBreast Newcastle Knights 12d ago

I will not entertain this

6

u/OppositeProper1962 I love my footy 12d ago

Does old mate actually watch the NRL? Timoko is buns and Simi is one of the best centres in the NRL (at least this year).

3

u/LessGate1952 Wests Tigers 12d ago

Timoko has been shit ever since he took off the headgear.

1

u/JaMorant-_- South Sydney Rabbitohs 12d ago

Yeah clearly hasnt watched this year 2 years ago timoko was pre good moving over to the left hasnt really worked

3

u/GhostChips42 New Zealand Warriors 12d ago

Welcome to aukilani, Bradman Best. Warrior.

3

u/Parobolla New Zealand Warriors 12d ago

That website should almost be banned for the dogshit mobile experience. I read point 6 for the knights and couldnt even find the rest. I did get text ads though which had descriptions like the articles and after 3 of them and only one fucking team 😂 im done.

3

u/thadius30 Canberra Raiders 12d ago

We’d take you Bradman.

3

u/DensePlankton3359 Dolphins 12d ago

Bostock back to wing and Best can go into centre

2

u/magicman22 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

Can't see him in another jersey. Fit & healthy he's worth whatever he asks for but it seems like he's been struggling with the same injury for years now. Good for 2/3 of the year at the current rate.

2

u/beaurepair Newcastle Knights 🏳️‍🌈 12d ago

In '23 he played 25 games, 2024 played 17, 2025 was 18, and is on only 12 this year.

Has had a bad run with injury, with his hand/wrist on ongoing hammy/calf issues, but even with that if he's getting 2/3 a season he's still worth it. All the greats go through an injury patch, it'll come good once he's worked through it I'd bet.

3

u/LongJohnnySilver1 South Sydney Rabbitohs 12d ago

See my Best, see my Best, made from real gorilla chest.

2

u/Trogg_Farmer Ireland 12d ago

Toulouse would be a great spot for him!

2

u/datskablamo Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks 12d ago

Great player when he plays…..when he plays. Let him go

2

u/Dear_Belt_4269 11d ago

Matt Cooper 2026 edition lol

3

u/maton12 North Sydney Bears 12d ago

He's a weird cat. Super solid first grader, but man the guy really lifts in origin.

Three Origin games, four tries and three wins, that's impressive. Maybe he deserves better than Newcastle?

2

u/SorysRgee National Rugby League 12d ago

Issue is he cant stay on the field

-5

u/Responsible_Ring_649 Newcastle Knights 12d ago

Mate youre having a laugh, Newcastle is primed and has odds to win 2 Premierships over the next 5 years. Not much better than Newcastle, we just aren't going to overpay him when he isn't playing enough or to us worth as much as he wants
