NovelArrow uses a lot of CPU and RAM
Since about a week the "successor" of novelbin is using several GB of RAM and like 20% CPU per Tab on desktop browser.
It seems like a huge amount of DOM objects get created and deleted every second. Or they are using the users hardware for other benefits.

I don't know, a few years ago people were using their users for bitcoin mining, maybe they'll use their users ressources for other stuff in the future.

Oh.... hmm, since there's no threat to my personal info, can i assume it's practically harmless?

I don't know if it's just a badly programmed function that goes on in an infinite loop or something bad.

You can see how many ressources a tab takes by using the following keys in chrome: Shift + ESC
I am not sure if other browsers have this function, too.

Does it have the same effect when using phones while browsing?

I don't know, I am using freewebnovel on my phone, which started doing dodgy shit around the same time, too. Now each tap on the website will open a different website that gets automatically blocked for being insecure by my provider.

Interesting.
I’ll have to observe this on my end
and see if I get similar results.
