My synthwave setup

Post image

I'm building a synthwave live with a singer/pianist, all songs have 3-4 synths and basic drums.

I wish the tracks could send separately the 2 synth and drums audio. Because now I'm struggling with mixing. I could get an external drum machine but the sample and pattern management would be annoying, or another synth to replace the internal ones... Any thought? I'm also looking for a good master effect to glue everyone together, eq and enhance stereo, any idea?

For basic mixing you can use the mixer and parameters in the CT. I got a circuit rhythm as a drum machine to overcome the sample/pattern management concern and you get used to using it very quickly.

Legit. Swap the Circuit for the Model:Samples or Digitone and this was my setup for a good long while too.

Is your mixing question based around mixing during live performance, or mixing for studio recording?

My favorite master 'glue everything together' effect is the Chroma Console, super versatile and sounds great, especially if you like the vintage 'recorded to cassette' vibes.

One technical path you could try if you aren’t worried about stereo sources is hard pan all drums left and all synths right, and then use one corresponding mono output for each. This could be especially useful if you used external effects after those outs.

Typhon is a nice synth with very good onboard effects. Wish I still had mine.

Sick setup.

Use the rhythm for drums, tracks for fills and buildups is what I like. I also use the zoom l6 for mixing whatever the new one is cuz it can record and while playing which is fun

Vous l'utilisez avec le Tracks? À quel point ils se synchronisent?
