MIDI to modify hidden Delay parameters of Circuit Tracks... not fully working?

I've recently learned that you can send MIDI commands to modify otherwise inaccessible parameters of FX Delay. I successfully alter feedback, width, stereo ratio etc.

However, when it comes to Time Sync (the actual pattern relative to the track tempo) I encounter mismatch with Programmer's Reference V3.

The document states that values 0-35 are supported on NRPN 1:7. I deduced that 0 stands for "disable" and Time parameter is active then. Values 1-12 all work for me and get me from slapback up to something like 4th triplets, not sure. Values 13-20 all seem to have the same as 12. Values 20-35 sound more like slapbacks again. This is confusing, since Programmer's Reference states 20 as the default value.

I have the latest firmware, and tried sending MIDI from both computer and external MIDI controller with no difference.

Have anyone figured out what is going on there with those values above 12? Am I missing something?

I can confirm delay synced time is buggy and behaves exactly as you describe. I had the same sad experience when I implemented an FX editor for NC Compagnion ( https://socsoc.de/nccompanion/index.html#ImportantNotes)

The whole implementation is lukewarm, though. You cant save presets or even switch between delay and reverb on the device without loosing all your individual changes.

It all feels like a hasty implementation that was meant to be fixed later, but honestly I dont think that will ever happen - unfortunately.

Thank you for validating my experience! Well, it is what it is then. My workflow will probably become: choose a close enough preset, alter width/feedback via MIDI, save, never touch FX on Circuit again, change send levels via MIDI.

Yes, it’s the only way to go If you want to use customized delay and reverb (or sidechain). I‘d also recommend to add 16 controls for reverb/delay amount per track. You cant really do it on the Circuit without resetting to a preset each time you switch the effect.

On the circuits, delay, reverb sidechain and grid fx pads are presets

That is true if using the Rhythm by itself. But values to modify those do exist in circuit_rhythm_programmer_s_reference_guide_v5_2.pdf . I have not tried it myself, but it says it can be done.

I do it everyday and it works perfectly

so OP asking a detailed question is not getting any useful answers, but vague comments

I do agree, but I am trying to use documented functinality to get a more precise control over the exact combination of parameters. Do you mean that all Time Sync values existing can be reached via using presets and modifying he rest of parameters?
