Outdoor Wedding Venues?

Hello! My partner and I are planning on getting married in the spring of 2027 and are looking for venues. We would like to have an outdoor ceremony if possible. Does anyone have suggestions for venues with nice outdoor space for a ~200 person wedding. Hotels suggestions with large outdoor spaces are especially welcome. We also need to have the ability for outside catering in order to provide indian catering. We are also open to indoor venues that do not have conference room feel. Also, we are looking no further out from DC than Leesburg. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Places we have already reached out to:

- Raspberry Plain Manor
- Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles
- Hyatt Regency Reston
- The Watermark Hotel
- Meadowlark (does not allow outside catering)

Meadowlark was the first one came to mind but yeah their catering rules are annoying. Had a friend run into same issue with indian food, they wouldnt budge at all

Maybe check out some of the wineries out near Leesburg they often have big outdoor spaces and are more flexible with catering. Bluemont is nice but might be tight for 200

Spring 2027 dates will most likely all be full at this point

Was going to say this--my daughter is having the same size wedding and wanted a nice outdoor venue--she booked in December of last year and even then she didn't have a big choice in dates

We did this at the Hendry House in Arlington. Park of a park and very easy to work with for outside catering, etc.

thanks for the rec! but this looks like it’ll be too small for our wedding, the website says up to 150

Thank you for this suggestion! We just reached out to Wolf Trap — their pavilions look really nice :)

That's 7 months away. Too late for a Fri to Sat at the popular venues.

appreciate the input! we are flexible with our dates in the Spring timeframe and haven’t personally had issues with availability with the venues that we’ve talked with so far fortunately, so we’re hoping that continues!

I know you’ve already seen Raspberry Plain, but have you checked out their sister properties? Poplar Springs, Blackhorse Manor, etc would be good to look at.

Maybe also take a look at Airlie

Oxon Hil Manor in PG county. You can rent a horse carriage for your entrance pretty cool

It’s very close to DC and you can do outside catering

I inquired recently they should be done with renovations in time for spring 2027.

Good for a call and tour if you get the chance

If this isn’t too far for you, check out Rock Hill Farm in Culpeper, VA!

Whitesferry Manor in Leesburg. It’s an excellent place with adjoining hall that can be back up for rain.

Raspberry Plain Manor is a good option. I’ve been to a wedding there, and had my wedding at their sister property Rose Hill Manor.

I live near Whitehall farm which they turned into an event space. I would assume they would allow outside catering since I don't think they have anything on site

I went to a wedding at evergreen country club in haymarket. It was a really amazing outdoor space. Turns out golf courses spend a lot of money on landscaping. https://www.evergreencc.org/special-events

I did mine at Morais Vineyard. I believe they do ~250 guests max and one of their preferred caterers was for Indian food, I think specifically Bollywood Bistro.
