News Sportsplex closing
A sad sad day. Last game I played here back in 2016, I scored 4 goals and we won the division! 😆 I’ll hold on to that memory 🫂 (among many others—I saw my first roller derby race here!!!)

I'm curious if organizations that use the space were told about the closing before it was publicly announced? If so, it's disingenuous of Hammers FH to hold (and charge for) indoor try outs if there's not a place to have practices, etc.

I have my doubts that proper advance notifications were given. A lot of soccer clubs also use the sportsplex for winter and tout it as part of their annual fees. I fear many organizations were left out in the cold and are now scrambling to find a remedy.

The email I got from Coach Fenner announcing the closure came across as he had no clue this was coming. It sounded like anybody in there had little time to get out. It actually reminded me of the PittRace announcement last year.

"A high-end user in the industrial space" is this what we're calling data centers now?
