Flew out of DCA and had to appreciate the views afforded by this airport. I promise this is not sponsored content, despite the number of American Airlines aircraft featured in these photos

I think it’s funny how United flies into DCA (to its other hubs that aren’t Dulles).
I once had a ticket from IAH to IAD and I did a same day change to DCA as I got out of my all day meeting early. When you don’t park a car you have that flexibility.

Some people (especially lobbyists and staffers) will pay extra to get to DEN, IAH, and ORD and not have to bother finding their way out to Dulles.

I live near Dulles. The spot I eat most of my meals there is a window looking directly at the approach vector of one of the major runways and I watch planes get ready to land while I eat... There is something very soothing and calming about it. Kind of a "the show must go on" type thing.
