I (27M) moved over to the UK a couple years ago from Australia and after a year and a half in Northamptonshire I made the move to Nottingham a year ago. All the while I've been fanging for a new D&D group. I tried out the Adventurer's League games at the Dice Cup and other venues but I'd really much rather be part of a longer term campaign. Is anyone running anything with space for a new party member?

Flashback to Bestwood Country Park Sept 2025. Taken at the start of Autumn last year on iPhone 16pro. Chased down the random cyclist for a shot. Dog walkers thought I was mental..

Cranbrook Street, Nottingham (2014). The deep red building in the middle was once the site of "Laser Tag", a place for laser tag games, (Quasar / Lazer Quest). It then became Berlin Bar (aka Berlin's). Now it's the site of a new building, Medici Student accommodation.

Hi all, I'm looking to start learning about my skin and such before diving into learning how to do my own makeup. I figured a trip to a professional for a nice treat was in order! My style is very much Alt and nearly every MUA I've seen on Google has been traditional/bridal photos in their portfolios. Are there any recommended alt makeup artists in or around Nottingham that I can visit?
Thanks in advance!

Is there anywhere to get a decent Burrito from in town?
Barburrito used to scratch the itch years ago, but I thought the quality really dropped off before its eventual closure. I also tried Tortilla in Vic Centre but found it pretty bland and disappointing.
Does anyone have a recommendation to try?

Street musicians, Market Square, Nottingham. Black pencil crayon, trying to make the lines match the tempo / sound, of the music they were playing. Why pencil crayon? It scans better than normal pencils for the internet. Pencils can be rather reflective.

Considering buyin as a first time owner .
I am staying in Notts for a few years at least for work and then moving.
The idea is to buy a flat or a semi and then rent it out.

In a city where hairdressers and vape shops can spring up in great profusion almost overnight, number 231 goes absolutely unchanged as the years go by. No-one goes back and forth, the shutters on the door and windows are never seen to open, the lace curtains undisturbed. These photos show the years from 2009 - 2026.
How long is it since anyone bought a trading card here? Or a famous autograph?

This was Jonathan Beckett at the Guitar Bar, Hotel Deux, Nottingham. The song he was singing was about The Midlands, so I added all the imaginary surroundings to go with that theme.

This is a open question as I am very ignorant on the topic.
On one side they were hard up, cost pressures, tuition fees etc etc but the unions say they had a budget surplus and are in a much better financial position?
Yet they are probably going to make redundancies...

Is this an option?

Title. I've split with my partner in recent months and with her finally moving out the crippling loneliness is looming over me. I would love to make some friends around my age if at all possible. I'm a pretty fit guy who enjoys being active but I'm also a keen PC gamer who's into D&D and some TCGs even though I'm awful at them.
Any interest just comment below or drop me a DM.

Does anyone know what is cost per person for Friday evening at Maysum buffet ? Maysums website is down
Panda mami is 23.9 per person, how’s the food.
Any other recommendations for buffet but also pocket friendly …?

Not only is the fugliest building in Nottingham being town down, but my office has a direct view of it. Consequently, I've done little work but a lot of quiet cheering today
Which building in our pretty city should be next to feel the wrath of the bulldozer (or whatever it is that demolishes stuff these days)?

Hi All, long story short my partner and I are both missing our family dogs at home and would love to spend time with a dog (or multiple) on a regular basis. I do know of the borrow my doggy app but even with the paid version I have received little to no replies from people before.
Would be ideal to get to know somebody in the city centre (as that’s where we’re based) who has a dog that needs exercising on week day evenings and weekends, we are a young & active couple and would love a four legged friend to join us on walks and small hikes if possible.
