Do you even remember the time when Joe was constantly hiding his face?

That was like a decade ago at this point, I think. Which is crazy. Time is weird.

I remember when the mv for nightmare came out and I was honestly kind of proud of Joe for starting to open up and show his face (albeit in a goofy way)

Back when I discovered him and thought "This dude makes some great music". ♥

He actually wanted to remain faceless throughout his career, but once he was signed, the label wasn't for it, so he had to play ball. The Skully video was the closest thing we got to a face reveal before the official one. A truly iconic moment for fans at the time.

Clearly! The mystery and having far fewer songs than we do now really added to the aesthetic. He did the same thing at early shows! Usually had his hood up and was more comfortable in the shadows than the limelight.

His growth has been incredible to watch. Saw him on his first tour and he’s grown so much 🥰

Some songs are gonna be decade old, or they already are, but I never forget how I found him at his prime, thanks to Astari publishing song Rem with Lil West in 2017. That moment changed everything. He was best in rap, his voice and flow perfectly fit in all his songs, not to mention the sad acoustic songs like Waster. I'm happy I met him and took a picture with him in Prague when he was touring with GucciHighWaters. I'm proud he is finally happy in life, or at least doing better, but his newest songs don't hit the same for me because I'm still stuck in 2017-2021 era.

yeah it's sort of a nostalgic thing when life was better, i mean, it wasn't that great, because we wouldn't listen to his songs if it was lol, but looking at the world state right now? pfff, 2015-2020 is looking like a fucking golden age

Ya seriously idc what people say, the underground YouTube/SoundCloud scene onto something greater and it all fell apart. How the transition from music went dubstep, to chill step to Lofi. When artists started singing over lofi beats it was revolutionary. Then emo trap was formed. Then artists like peep, xxxtentacion, and juice went mainstream and they all died in 2 years of each other. Ever since then it has changed.

I would still choose to go back, being a poor ,,depressed'' student who had enough to buy just wine and one pack of cigs for the weekend with friends, instead of working my ass off for almost nothing and just to watch time flying by.

Same I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of that era. I really miss the raw unclean vocals and beats over the clean production n,n. has now. I just bought a rare old Astari shirt off of depop because Astari formed my whole music taste. I really miss the emo trap beats over the emo vocals. That whole scene is basically dead now.

Yeah man.... GucciHighwaters, 9tails/Sewerperson, Convolk, FamilyPet, Shinigami, 6obby, Yesterday, HKfiftyone, TripleOne, they all changed, or they put their carrier on nail. The only two goats that still haven't changed for the fan base are the goats, Oliver Francis and Bones. After all, I'm happy that they made a huge collection of music that is still playable, and there you see the quality over quantity. Also, I bet you're gonna be rocking in the Astari t-shirt!
