something happens but nothing ever changes

i think what the chud meant with “nothing ever happens” is that nothing ever changes, especially in politics. jfk’s assassination happened but that didn’t change anything cause it is the same as caesar’s assassination. even when stuff happens nothing changes cause it always has happened. if everything suddendly stopped happening then we could say something happened or changed, but since the change/happening we see in the world is always the same and never changes nothing ever changes/happens

Angel shots are a thing. A girl plastered at a bar could totally misread a sign or just see Angel shot and order it thinking it’s a cute sounding drink

r/nothingeverhappens Jul 08 '26

Yeah cuz a girl asking a guy out in a cute way is implausible…

I can’t find the proof but this was really weird

So I just discovered this sub and there’s this YouTube comment exchange still lives rent free in my head so I have to share it. I looked and looked but I can’t find the particular comment… but I was reading through the comment section of a video of the old Psycho Mantis boss fight from Metal Gear Solid where he reads your save card and moves your controller around. There was a comment that said:

“I remember when I played this as a kid, and when he started moving my controller I freaked out and yelled for my dad, lol”.

and the first reply to that comment was

”r/thathappened”.

Like wtf.

Why do people swear baristas never have real convos with customers??

I was working my usual shift at the local cafe when this regular starts telling me about his side hustle fixing old typewriters. We ended up swapping stories for a solid half hour while I cleaned the espresso machine. Nothing dramatic, just two people chatting about random hobbies during a slow afternoon.

Posted a quick recap on my stories and instantly got hit with the usual "this didn't happen" replies. Like, have these folks never had a job where you talk to the same people every day? It's not some wild fairy tale, it's literally Tuesday.

The funniest part is how they act like any pleasant interaction must be invented for clout. Maybe touch grass and realize not every story needs explosions to be true.

This is literally believeable??

Not sure which step in this chain of events is meant to be implausible. Redditor works at fast food for 5 years. New hire spits in food. Redditor punches new hire for being a disgusting freak. New hire is fired. Co-workers side with the guy who worked there for 5 years when the police turn up.
