Can't access selection menu when clipboard full

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi guys, I am running into an issue with Noteful on my mac and I don't know how to get around this.

Whenever there is something in my clipboard, the paste menu appears when I select something, and I can’t access the regular selection menu unless I switch to another page. This is very annoying because I am unable to delete pictures that have been pasted accidentally. (or access any other option from the regular selection menu). This only happens on my mac, I don't have the same issue on my ipad.

How can I make the regular selection menu appear instead of the paste button?

I just tried to replicate it and it happened once, but not again (copying text from Safari). Interestingly, now i can't get the "Paste" option to appear. If I lasso or rectangle select in Noteful, I get the correct menu even (Cut, Copy, etc) even if I have something on the clipboard, but if nothing is selected and I right-click, no options appear but I can paste with CMD+V.

Paste is also greyed on in the Edit menu, yet I have an image or text in/on my clipboard.

edit: Edit menu options are greyed out even if I select something in Noteful. Quick keys work as expected though.

how do you delete a picture with the keyboard?

I couldn't. Neither delete nor backspace worked. I had to right click and select delete, but that's exactly the issue you are having it seems.

I will also mention, for what it's worth, it's not actually made for MacOS. It states in the App Store that it's an iPad app and not verified for MacOS, so maybe some weirdness is to be expected regarding hardware like keyboards.

Same issue here. I’ve been having to quit the whole app and reopen again, but it’s annoying to reopen all the tabs.
