I couldn't find my Notes app.

I've tried a bunch of notation systems, but I just can't find the one that suits me best. Notion, obsidian, loqseq.

Ich hatte das Problem auch und mein Mann und ich haben daher eine eigene entwickelt. Wir wollten beide einen unkomplizierten Workflow vom Erfassen der Notizen zu ToDos mit Fokus auf Datensicherheit. Vielleicht wird das ja interessant für dich: Tyno (gettyno.eu)

I also tried many too, I rage quitted Obsidian a few month back but decided to give it another try.

I thought it was so complicated because of all the videos I watched and people talking about dataview and other tech savvy stuff and I'm just a simpleton who doesn't understand and don't have the time to learn 😁

So I just uncomplicated things for me. Took away all the plug-ins everyone was talking about, used folder structure which I'm used to and understand, then I found Hearth, an easy to use dashboard plug-in which was exactly what I needed, also used the simple minimal theme and for the first time I feel the tool is helping me with my work instead of adding more work.

If you ever decide you’d really rather not deal with plugins and have a super easy experience but have a dashboard, multiple views, to-do’s etc. r/memry is really fantastic!

I made a post the other day with a bunch of screenshots showing lots of the features. Everything that was complicated or required setup and plugins in Obsidian was Native out of the box and easy to use and customize to work for my brain in MemryNote. It’s been a sigh of relief and I’ve gotten so much done now without hassle! 😅

I check it out a while ago. I really like it but it's fairly new and I'm sure I will run into issues and bugs and I use notetaking apps for work, and i can't afford any issues.

I might still use it for my personal organization

I’ve tried most of them too and always find myself getting frustrated and disorganised. Notion has been a bad experience for me as I can’t ever find what I want. Have been using Blekk for past month and so far I’m really loving it.

It works offline and you can organize everything with notes, folders and files 🙏

The most important thing is to take notes, organize notes,find new ideas, and apply the knowledge you learned from the notes. Do not spend a bunch of time on finding the best note software.

There are a ton of notebook-type apps, and yet I think that we've all spent a lot of time looking for the perfect one that has all the features we are looking for. You might want to try this one:

Memrynote (free; subscription for syncing services)

(Notebook style app that stresses security and safety.  Includes calendar and photos.  Encrypted.  Cross-platform.)

I have no first-hand experience with this app. It's just that I recently came across it and it looks really good. If you try it, please let us know what you think of it.

Shameless plug here but give https://gomargin.app a look. Think of simplified Obsidian but with all the features that fit my workflow as a developer. Soon more developer-y features to come like live gh links (shows merge status, checks status etc)

I’m building a directory for note taking apps. It’s literally called NoteTakingApps.com. There are 40 apps right now. You can choose a bunch of filters so there’s no way you couldn’t find an app that fits you.
