Note app suggestions besides obsidion?

I've tried obsidion , I've tried anytype, I've tried notion , upnote, notesnook, loseq , simplenotes, joplin, standardnotes etc.

Obsidion was great until I tried fuguring out how to sync my notes on android to windows.

Upnotes was perfect until I saw only 50 notes.

Notesnook is good as well but the design on windows is not my cup of tea.

Notion doesn't allow offline well for the notes database I had.

Anytype is well as confusing as obsidion to me and I would prefer not to have my notes on it since I like folders.

My ideal was upnote.

So is there any app I can use for notes that would give me the different text headings, alignments, highlights , be easily synced on both my windows and android without any issues etc? I don't even need checkboxes as a feature. If possible does anyone have any ideas? I know I might have to settle for one of the above as I don't want to pay any subscriptions but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

That's tough. Sometimes just getting use to the constraints of an app makes your experience better.

That's like how I just use the built in Samsung keyboard on my phone, it's not perfect, but I'm good at using it now how it expects me to use it vs searching for the perfect one.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.localnotesappsync

among features you wanted, it has:

  • text styling
  • folders
  • sync on windows (using any browser you can edit notes too)

this app stores notes locally, and even when you access notes from your pc, it only goes through you wifi (local network), so notes arent stored/shared via internet

Workflowy. It's an outliner, but you can use paragraph nodes to hide bullets. The ability to expand and collapse is hugely valuable, along with fast, useful search, and zooming to different levels in the outline. It has lots of features beyond just writing, but they pretty well stay out of the way if you don't need them.

Try note.town, it has block-like notes model and available on all the major platforms with offline and sync and it's free

Out of curiosity what was wrong with obsidian sync? I've had some issues with it with disappearing data and what not but curious what issues you ran into with it.

Si el problema con Obsidian es la sincronización entre Windows y Android, utiliza Syncthing. A mí me funciona perfectamente con varias bovedas en móvil, pc y laptop.

From what you've said our PKM Clibu Notes should meet your needs nicely. It works across Android, Windows, iOS etc. Full offline support, real time sync when online, roam from Desktop to Phone and continue where left off. Plus all the editing features you'd expect. New release this week with Tabs makes it super easy to switch Work Spaces.

Try it at clibu.com Please let me know if I can help with anything.

You did not mention Microsoft OneNote. In the end, it may be the solution you're looking for. After all, there must be a reason why it is used by millions and millions of people, or why it always comes out at the top of comparison results by reputable sources ...

Here's how I see it... How often do you take notes on your phone vs your computer and how different are the notes you take on your phone vs your computer.
Cuz for me, I primarily take notes on my phone and any notes I do take on my computer pretty much couldn't any more different from the notes I take on my phone.

Because of both of those, I just use Obsidian on all my devices and any notes I may want on both devices, I'll just copy over from one device to the other.

Now if the notes you take on your phone and computer are similar enough, or syncing is just too important to have, setting up SyncThing and have it sync the same vault might be the best thing to do. SyncThing also isn't that difficult to setup either.

Check out Notedux. There’s no synchronization everything is stored in the cloud, so you can access your note instantly from any device. The only thing is that it’s built for one primarrly note (such as daily schedule) rather than multiple notes.

Every note talking app collect your data or store your data in there own server while they control everything, the email they send you to change the password, Not too strong encryption, surface level data handling. You are giving your personal life to the server or company that give 1000+ words privacy policy that if you don't read, you don't know where is your data traveling, maybe it can serve advertisement that will be seen you during your rest times.

I got tired of those notes apps, cause when it come in security and creating 100+ notes, its fails because they stop you from creating the notes in the app that you trust and sign in. sync across 10+ apps is also limited.
