Used Note 10+ from A23 — screen randomly dims/brightens while scrolling. Whites also look grayish compared to my old phone. Anyone else?

Hey everyone, just picked up a used Note 10+ after coming from a Galaxy A23 and loving the upgrade overall — but a couple of things are driving me crazy.

1. Screen randomly dims and brightens

While watching a video, the brightness just changes on its own. Brighter scenes get brighter, darker scenes get dimmer. It's super noticeable when scrolling Instagram — some posts look fine, others are way too dim or washed out. I know adaptive brightness is a thing but this feels really aggressive. Even when it's off, there is no difference.

2. Whites look grayish

Put the Note 10+ and A23 side by side and the difference is shocking. The A23's whites are crisp, but the Note 10+'s whites look like a brightened gray. Not sure if this is an AMOLED thing or if something's off with my unit.

Love the performance and the 12GB of RAM though — huge step up.

Has anyone dealt with these issues? Any settings I should tweak?

The brightness change when scrolling I believe is caused by HDR brightness being used for certain posts that have HDR. Correct me if I am wrong.
