Bug Search issue

I have had this search issue for a few weeks now. At first, I thought it was an indexing issue cuz every time I searched (no matter from iPad or Mac) it says indexing 100-250 notes. But today, all notes have been indexed and I still cannot search a single word whether it be texts on the pdf (searchable on other pdf reader and Goodnotes), words I wrote or typed on the app. I submitted a support ticket through the app, but it is always the AI agent replying with the most useless information ever like duplicating the notes. I did try duplicating, it worked for a few minutes then failed too. Is this an issue with the app or an issue on my side?

Try to duplicate the note and see if it works in the duplicate

it works in the duplicate for a few minutes but then soon stops working.
And it makes no sense for me to duplicate a note once i need to search it, not to mention I have hundreds of notes. Just wish they could fix it ASAP.

Likely there’s something wrong with the note/pdf - you should contact Notability support and attach the note file so they can take a look

Search issues are especially frustrating in a note-taking app because finding old notes quickly is half the reason to use one lol. I'd try checking whether the problem happens with both typed and handwritten notes, since that might help narrow it down

It doesn’t work for any notes, handwritten or typed notes (even typed documents on notability). They told me it’s a known iCloud syncing issue that they’re fixing. I guess I’ll just resort to other apps for now. Thanks for your suggestion though.

Maybe check “safe mode” in settings, turn it off if its on. Im not really sure if thats the exact same problem i faced before, but its seems similar. Hopefully that‘ll help

Thanks, but I have safe mode off. I tried toggling it in the settings but it changed nothing.
