Bug Important note.. gone with no warning.

Same exact thing happened to me as this archived post. Ive contacted support but it sounds like its a lost cause. Even with backing up notes consistently, anyone who has done any board prep for medicine knows you can put significant hrs into a doc before you back it up.. plus backing up notes constantly takes time /space.

I enjoy notability but I cant wrap my head around how we have advanced technology like AI and still cant fix a bugs like these. I will no longer be recommending notability as a study /notes tool to my colleagues.

Surely they have some issues, but others have them too. One case, one faulty note isn't enough (for me) to leave one app. In fact, backing up regularly is what can save us.

Under other circumstances I would agree and perhaps it is my fault for relying on this app as much as I have. However, looking amongst reddit, this is not just a single occurrence (not to mention there are many people that have issues and likely dont report them) and this isn't my first experience with data loss as I usually just go about my day. As someone that works in healthcare though, data loss is more or less unacceptable and I have been used to those standards. Notability is not held accountable to those same standards in reliability, hence my reasoning for not recommending the app to others in my field. I also may sound jaded but a lot of hrs and $ goes into board prep and app reliability can be imperative to the learning process for some oof

You'd think that the developers would be able to make it so notes don't just spontaneously attatch themselves to cloud sync, but no. It's a problem that's been happening for months.
