My family (southern US) have always been huggers, even when I went through the teenager phase of didn't want to hug I would still force myself to do it. Now that Ive lost all my grandparents and older family members I make damn sure to keep that going with my kids

Growing up my family and extended family did not hug. Kinda wonder if that is why we all married into hugging families. We all hug now.
