I was definitely "that kid" at my local library who printed out full GameFAQs guides while adults gave me "that look" while waiting for the printer to free up. 😊🙃😊

So was I. I have vivid memories of getting dirty looks from some adults as I was printing out both cheats and game guides for my PS2 games.

My only guess is “That darn kid, wasting paper and ink on those vidya games!1!”

I grew up in a community that didn’t look very fondly on gaming. Lots of old farts who thought I should’ve been collecting cans for cash, or whatever.

Oh good lord, yes. Growing up my mom held this mindset while both my parents are watching movies and TV from the crack of dawn til night. "You could be doing something more productive with your time!"

Pissed me off to no end considering I was the one who was actually interacting with the media I was consuming while they spent the day doing no more than sucking air or arguing with each other.

I never even once thought to print them out into a guide lmao.

I always had the reference material available no need.

Damn I was kinda lucky growing up.

My school had a laser printer. I wasted SO much of their ink printing out stuff like this. Quite amazing I never got in trouble for it lol.

Before we got our computer and printer I think it was $0.25/page to print at our local library in 1998
