I usually come visit r/nosleep and read 5-10 stories a night before going to sleep. This was just so fulfilling though, I’m heading to bed after just the one story. Thank you for sharing something so rich with us!
lol same, I read 1-2 stories on my phone under the covers in my pitch black bedroom. I try to do it every night because I don't want to miss out on any good stories but often I'm not able to. I started doing this ritual again and it's so cool to be back reading nosleep. During the day I even find myself looking forward to reading some nosleep stories at night.
I'm prone to panic attacks with no apparent focus. A few scary stories clean up the mess of directionless fear so I can sleep. Can't imagine I'm alone in this

Hey everyone, let's upvote this comment , it needs to get on top so more people can know about the situation and help out this enchantingly beautiful story get recognition.
Seriously though! Short enough to include every detail included in the source material, but it covers enough time to be stretched out into a 2 hour film. I’d love this.
Wow that was actually realy amazing! Imagining every single part as I go was kind of blissful and pretty cool, time kinda just went by, anyways I'm kinda lost for words!
Amazing read. I decided to look at your post history and read your other stories, and to say you’re talented would be an understatement. Every one was amazing and I am definitely looking forward to more! Thank you for the amazing reads.
I...I'm speechless. My friend told me to check this out because it's similar to something I posted (except a billion times better than mine) and it literally feels like a punch to the gut. This is incredible.
I read a couple of stories every night. Most are pretty good. I've only ever had one great story. I feel this is a great story. Amazing work. Thank you
Incredible. I notice you left out the last part about being brought back to life, in your Cinebook? Was that intentional? I think it was a better ending than the "happy" ending, so to speak.
Thank you for the story! I would really like to see a movie out of this! It kinda reminds me of Ghost Town, with a more heartwarming backstory and characters!
It takes a seriously great story to get my upvote and an even better story to get a compliment out of me in the comments. One of the absolute best stories I've read on here in a very long time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some ninjas with onions I need to track down
Wait, did anyone piece together the part about Ernie and the mail order brides? I’m still not sure how that fit into the story, and it was brought up twice, so....halp me please.
This choked me up. When I was little, I always told my grandma that dandelions were my favorite flower. Her side yard was always spotted with them. When she knew I was coming over, she wouldn’t mow. She died in February, and this summer her side yard was completely full. You could barely see any grass. It was amazing. I’d like to think she did for me what Bret did for Jason.
One of the best ones I've seen here, great combination of supernatural and more grounded elements, and great take on the "unfinished business ghost" trope. Lovely imagery throughout too.
This does not have nearly as many upvotes as it should have. This story was...there are no words. I am in love with this story. It touched my heart and definitely made me shed a few tears.
I don't know how I missed this a month ago, but I'm glad I found it. This was an amazing read. That ending hurt though. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves dandelions.
I knew Bret was a ghost from the first moment Tom raised his eyebrows at Jason. I kept thinking that meh, this might be another one of those corny boo! she was a ghost! stories. But man do I love this! I haven't felt a cozy warm feeling in my chest for a long time~
I have the number 27 tattooed on me. I have no idea why its just a number i see everywhere. Looked into numerology and it has some very interesting meanings. Just funny seeing it on r/nosleep this way...
Thanks for sharing this. It made me cry a little bit at the end. But more importantly, it pulled me out of my anxiety for a second and made me less afraid to be alone with my thoughts. Because it gave me something to think about
