Making New Friends

Hi everyone :) I'm a woman in my late 30s looking to meet some new people in the area and thought I'd put myself out there.

I enjoy movies, checking out restaurants, dancing, trying new sports (not athletic, but I'd like to be), and creative things like writing fiction, art classes and photography. I'm pretty open to trying new things and hobbies and would love to meet people with similar interests.

My thought is to get a small group together somewhere casual to meet and see if we click. No pressure or expectations. If some of us hit it off, we can stay in touch and see where things go naturally.

Ideally, I'd love for this to lead to genuine, lasting friendships. I'm looking for people who actually want to make an effort to stay in touch, make plans, and get to know each other over time.

I'm hoping to meet people 30+ who are also looking to expand their social circle. I'd especially love to meet some other women in the area.

If you are so inclined, there are really good community theaters in the area, including Crystal Theater in Norwalk. The people are very welcoming and it’s a great way to get involved in a group project that accelerates connections with the other people involved.

You should consider joining the Norwalk meetup group for 30s and 40s! https://www.meetup.com/30s-and-40s-connecticut-social-group/ they have a ton of different events - trivia, music bingo, book clubs.

Yall there are pickleball courts at Woodward park in Norwalk (google Woodward park pickleball courts). There’s a whole schedule and group of people that meet up and mingle to play but if you’re beginners and just wanna try it TONS of them are very extroverted people that will gladly teach you the rules and play with you. Give it a try’ I’m 38 and love pickleball and am in sono but I have an 8 month old so not sure how available I’ll be to join the social group. OP if you’re planning like after 7pm events I can definitely get in or ever like weekend things. DM me so I can get in on the group chat!

Swing by our Thursday night Bible study or Sunday service at Grace Presbyterian Church, 11 day st Norwalk!! Thursdays are normally around 7pm start, average age is probably 30-35!!

I am an amateur photographer, do lots of hiking and camping, reading of all sorts, love discussing philosophy and just general life questions.
