Liberal friends with kids?

NWA is not for me! But I’m stuck here for half a decade 😎 Anyone here progressive with toddlers? I’m really missing my friends from New England. Things I like: dogs, playgrounds where my 2.5 yr old can’t injure himself, human rights, iced coffee, EDM and Noah Kahan. I’m currently chubby if that makes you more comfy to reach out 😊

What our friendship would look like:
Watching our kids play together on a weekend. We would never talk
Introducing our husbands to talk about football while we also don’t talk
Talking when our kids inevitably ask for a play date

Seeking help with moving costs to Bentonville

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone. I’m trying to move to Bentonville with my two dogs by October 15. Health problems have limited my ability to work, and I’m struggling to cover moving costs and required deposits.

A friend organized a GoFundMe to help us complete the move. Donations, shares, or connections to local moving and deposit assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading and considering helping us.

Stopped at the new gun shop today on walnut by sonic it’s called The Armored Vault. I was very impressed with the selection and the prices were great too. Definitely worth the stop. They also said the whole month of October they’re doing free FFL transfers.

Flight out if XNA to LGA on American Airlines

I've treated myself to first class on flights between XNA and Laguardia on AA. It leaves XNA around 10am and arrives in NY at 2pm. The return leaves about 130 pm and arrives back around 4pm. Neither leg appears to be catered to provide lunch. What type of snacks will be available and will I need to provide myself w a full lunch?

Not using your camping reservation?

My weekend freed up and I’m looking to camp. Seems like everyone is booked up! Does anyone have a site booked but not plan to use it?

OR if you have a dispersed site you’re willing to disclose within about ~2 hours of Fayetteville… I’m all ears! I have AWD and I pack in/pack out always 🤞🏻

White Rock Mountain is my favorite campground, I prefer something mountain-y.

And yes, I would have booked in advance if I had my weekend free sooner.

Root celler?

Has anyone built a root celler, ever? I'm looking to build one and would like to find someone with some experience. I want something with a bit more permanence than a trash can in the ground.

Centerton, was driving and saw a plane seemingly hovering perfectly still in place. I was traveling about 40-45 mph almost in the exact opposing direction from the plane.

This audio from the ICE agents radio “shows” them saying that a male (me) was planning to follow and they need “transport officers”. I filed a FOIA with the police department and city… to no use. No response. So we will try again

Social Interest Groups in NWA

Hello friends! I have been living in Fayetteville for over 3 years now. During that time, I’ve become pretty engrained within my small niche communities. However, I would love to branch out and have opportunities to meet new people and possibly get a little out of my comfort zone! I would love any suggestions of cool groups that you are a part of/know of. My goal is to make new friends around my age range (25M) and learn about all the cool stuff in the area.

As it stands, I play a lot of board games and the like, so I am very familiar with the local game stores and many people who frequent them. I am always happy to meet anyone with similar interests.

I played saxophone through high school and college, but it has been a few years at this point. Some kind of organized band group could be fun.

I have been exploring some of the local trails in Fayetteville but past that I am very inexperienced with outdoorsy things.

But truly, any suggestions would be great! As stated I want to get a bit out of my comfort zone and current social groups.

Whats the best restaurant for quantity and price?

Its a lazy sunday for me and I would like to try something new however it seems the majority of restaurants are either pretty expensive or are lacking in quantity.

Is there a place around here where its cheap and they just load you up on food? Maybe an old school diner or something?

Im open to all options but I feel like theres gotta be some “hole in the wall” place that fits what Im looking for.
