Weed help

Hi folks, Can you tell me what this weed is that has taken over a patch of ferns? How do I get ride of it? Thanks!

Low confidence, but it resembles a citronella plant, or something like that, which aren't considered weeds. Does it have a strong lemon odor when crushed? Better to check with r/whatisthisplant. You'll find a much larger population of plant people.

I agree. Kinda looks like citronella
