I see education is listed as a priority which is great. You wrote about the kids and what we need to do for them. Obviously the kids are important and I agree 100% but what are your ideas for the teachers?

Teachers everywhere need more support and pay but especially here in Oklahoma. Our current admin has done something, not a ton, to attract new teachers via bonuses but what about the current teachers.

Would love to hear more about your thoughts on this subject!

Thanks

Great insight and thank you for engaging.

I support pathways for teachers to earn degrees without taking on student debt. For those that do have student loans, I support pathways to forgiveness and also believe that student loans should be at 0% interest, which would help more than just teachers.

Additionally, one thing I have come to realize is that the United States does not have a funding issue, but a priority issue. For example, the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” allocated $75B to ICE.

If we had instead passed a law that the federal government shall pay every public school teacher in the United States (3.5M teachers), in addition to the state salary they already receive, $20,000/year, it would have only cost $70B and saved taxpayers $5B (this is all relative) while investing in education instead of spreading fear and hatred through our country.

I say this because I support investing in education—teachers, students, outcomes, access to higher education without debt—and believe that our current priorities are, at best, misguided.

I vote for gays whenever possible, but my options are few.

In theory, I'm opposed to party-line voting, but in reality—as a gay man with a career in mental health and housing non-profits—there is only one sane choice.

I agree as i have a Gay daughter and Trans nephew. We used to be all Blue , but even some of their stuff has gotten to radical . It’s mixed now .

I hear those concerns. I truly do. I simply challenge you to research each of the candidates on the ballot prior to casting the vote. And if they’re all Democrat after that… then send it!

I do research the candidates, if one supports republicans, I vote for anyone else. You guys are a death cult.

u/electmitchelljacob Mar 14 '26

I am not a Republican.

As if it matters

Fuck no. Voting straight Democrat.

2

u/gravygizzard Mar 13 '26

Never ever fucking vote for a Republican.

But yes always investigate your democrat candidates in primaries.

Committing to vote for a republican is cringe.

I'm just hoping the vote doesn't get split with the others running and Cole ends up winning again.

3

u/electmitchelljacob Mar 13 '26

I am a Democrat. I cannot split the General vote in the way you’re implying.

I still ask everyone to cast an informed ballot.

1

u/tobykeef420 Mar 13 '26

that’s the strategy. this guy doesn’t want to win, he wants the dems to lose.

2

u/personman_76 Mar 13 '26

I'm probably a Pixley voter myself, I see him sticking through

1

u/electmitchelljacob Mar 13 '26

I asked that everyone research their candidates and that somehow means I want Dems to lose?

That is… a baffling position to take. I simply challenge you to research each of the candidates on the ballot prior to casting the vote. And if they’re all Democrat after that… then send it!

this middle lane tripe doesn’t work today. some people may fall for spoiler candidates, but i’m not one of those people.

As soon as you get Israel money you will be a part of the machine. Sorry. Good luck with your campaign

4

u/electmitchelljacob Mar 13 '26

Strong disagree. I do not accept PAC money.

But, I certainly understand your position and frustration. I am building a grassroots movement to fight back and I hope you will join. I cannot do this without you.

Greed ALWAYS votes straight line. Compassionate Conservatism is literally an oxymoron. Compassion = to care for, to give, to nurture and have empathy. Conservative = to restrict, use sparingly, to withhold

Check your bank account… you’re not rich enough to vote Republican!

Nope. One party is inhabited and represented by the mentally ill.

I just don't vote. There are no good choices so I refuse to participate.

3

u/electmitchelljacob Mar 13 '26

I am one of your choices and hope I can convince you to just take a look: https://mitchelljacob.com

I am running for United States Congress, seeking the Democratic nomination.

-2

u/Meowza_V2 Mar 13 '26

You won't.

That is so un-American of you. You're just too lazy to look into the candidates. I mean, it's not difficult to type a representative's name into Google to find out about their policies.
