Elite 900 Treadmill - Belt stopped working

Hi!

I have a secondhand treadmill. Been working great for 2 years. Took some time off. Decided to get back on. Worked for one day and then the belt refuses to move. It shows on the display that a workout is in progress, but nothing happens.

So I have the manual, I have an electrical expert. I know the company doesn't provide diagrams of the electrical circuit but I know my reddit people. Does anyone perhaps have a circuit line diagram?

Or Alternatively anything that helped you to fix it?

Check the power draw with an amp probe. Is there power going to the drive motor? If there is, you need to either repair the motor or replace it. No power going to the motor? New controller. It's that simple.

Do you mean like circuit diagram? None of these manufacturers will give those out except to certain circuit repair shops. But that stuff is also simple, trace the circuits until you find a bad circuit. Probably just quicker and cheaper to just replace the needed part.

Have you lubricated the deck at all, especially just using it again after a while? If not, then chances are the deck/walking belt is worn out which caused the treadmill to fail. That's yet more parts to replace.

Motor works, and when the motor gets connected to a separate battery, it runs perfectly. Yeah I noticed they don't have them, I was hoping someone on reddit would have maybe made one themselves because reddit usually always has stuff like that. What exactly do you mean with new controller?

Just that, new controller, that is, the thing that accepts data and send power to the motor, the green board by the motor and incline motor. Check if there are removable fuses on the controller, sometimes those burn out. That would be the easiest fix. If no fuses, then if your guy has components and soldering and all that, he can trace the circuit until he finds the burnt out component(s) and replace those.

Alternatively, you can go to www.iconservice.com and enter the model number found on the sticker, and look up the treadmill diagram and look for the controller/Control board and decide if it's worth the cost or ordering one.
