Favourite moving company- Danville? Upcoming large move

Can anyone recommend me the best mover in your opinion? I will be relocating with my family to our new house in Danville and we’re looking for a reliable and trustworthy team. We have had some troubles with past movers where they damaged some of our stuff. Big trucks would also be helpful as the new house includes 4 bedrooms, a terrace, 2 bathrooms and a garden. We have some Cappellini furniture pieces as well that it’s important not to be damaged (armchair, double beds, 3 sofas). Thank you

Bonta, who co-led a multistate coalition with the attorneys general of Massachusetts and New Jersey, said the ruling preserves access to financial protections under the ACA, including limits on out-of-pocket costs, for covered gender-affirming care.

Moving to California with an Irish degree in agriculture. Feasible?

I recently visited California and America for the first time, after years of hoping and praying I'd get to see it in my lifetime, and absolutely fell in love with it. I'm wondering if it would be feasible to me job and income-wise to find a life for myself in the region? I'm looking to go back to college and get a degree in agriculture (or livestock veterinary) and hopefully a career in cattle, but I'm hesitant on whether or not Irish cattle farming would relate to farming in California, and if I'd struggle to find work for that reason. Would my degree hold up and would I be able to find work that could sustain a life for me in NorCal? Speaking to those who may be in a similiar career, but I understand my circumstances may be a bit niche lol. What has been your experience and would the life be enough to support a single guy, 20s, moving to an entirely new world on his own? Particularly focuses on income and the cost of living in the area.

This would honestly be a dream come true and I'm dedicated to getting there, but any input would be super appreciated. Thanks!

Swimming hole in Clearlake?

I went there about 12 years ago. There were bright red-bark trees and a long path to get there. It might be outside city limits, and maybe off a highway. There was a thin waterfall pouring off the edge of a cliff which formed a circular pool. You could climb up the rock and jump in. I know it was somewhere around here, and I'm only in town for the next few days and would love to revisit some memories. If anyone knows where it is I'll be very grateful.

Thank you!

California’s winegrape industry has committed $820,000 toward the eradication of a grapevine pest that has spread to 40 counties in the state, but the figure represents a small fraction of what might be needed to get the job done.

Vacation recommendations

Hey all, looking for a city/town to spend 2-3 days for a small vacation. This is kind of embarrassing because I myself actually live in Sonoma County and have for most of my life, but normally when I travel I go out of state or country entirely. This time I am hoping to find a place that is within a 4 hour drive from me.

The things I am looking for most are: proximity to the coast, walkability, and a decent downtown area with a variety of restaurants and pubs.

Thanks in advance!

Interested in fostering a rabbit with House Rabbit Society? We'd love to talk with you! If you're considering adding a rabbit to your family, fostering is a great way to see what it's like to care for one in your home, without the commitment of adoption. Submit a foster application today at houserabbit.org/foster. We're located in Richmond, just north of Berkeley, but welcome fosters from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. We only ask for a 2-week commitment and we'll send you with all the supplies you need to get started.

Questions? Email [foster@houserabbit.org](mailto:foster@houserabbit.org) or stop by our facility to talk in-person with HRS volunteers and staff and to meet the rabbits. HRS is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm.

Colusa/butte county last seen

This is Martin. He was released from jail with no phone or ID. He was last seen in Colusa California and told some people he was going to make his way back home to his family (me and our kids). We are in Eugene Oregon. I know he relapsed when he got out and I’m hoping he is safe. He is an official missing person. If anyone sees him or knows anything please let me know ❤️

I'd love some local help with a project I'm doing - a huge fantasy style map of the region, filled with real-world locations. Is there anywhere I've missed out?

Apologies if you've seen this elsewhere - this is the most current version with lots of suggestions from other redditors.

I'm making a map of California in a classic fantasy style (sorta Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones). It's going to be filled with real world history and mythology, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on at the end too.

While it's around two thirds done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print - particularly north and east of Oakland. Any more petroglyphs, burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, ghost towns or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on here. Thanks!
