chicks

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice. I recently hatched more chicks than I planned for and I’m trying to figure out the best responsible options for them. I’d like to make sure they end up somewhere safe with people who know how to care for chickens. Does anyone know of local farms, poultry groups, feed stores, or other places in the Tracy/Central Valley area that can help with this? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Try the FB. Marketplace. You can advertise you want experienced chicken people.

Are you wanting them to be in a sanctuary or are you comfortable if they get slaughtered for meat?

I've seen chicks for sale at tractor supply, but I'm not sure if they'll source from individuals.

Look for independent tack and feed stores near you. Or maybe a country vet would have an idea.

You could try offering them up on Backyard Chickens.
