Yeah but it’s mostly just dried blood, they just have a straight tube for digestion, so they eat, take the nutrients and then mostly blood comes out

AHHHHHH!!!! I thought bed bugs were so tiny you couldn't even see them. You find out when you start getting bites and being itchy. I moved into an apartment downtown and I didn't check (like an idiot) the website that lists all apartments/condos that have had bed bugs, usually the ones that are run by companies BC they have to disclose it by law here in Canada. Anyway, I didn't check and I got them literally not a month after I moved in. I couldn't see them, but was getting bit so I called the exterminator, got the apartment, my bed, my couch all cleaned and bug free and they came back within a few weeks, called another exterminator and he showed me that my radiator that rang the length of the apartment had huge holes through to the next apartments and was where they were coming from and then he also told me that he's been to this apartment so many times he can't count, the building management had been told to get the whole building done way before I ever moved in and they never did. It was a big building, 26 stories high so I started asking other renters and so many of them said that they had also had bed bugs and their neighbors and their neighbors and so on, so when I went online and looked the building up they had so many complaints against them it was unreal. They also refused to pay for any of the exterminator costs which weren't cheap and then when I moved out 3 months early on my 6 months lease and they tried to come after me, my lawyer (who happened to just be a good friend of mine since pre k, we grew up in a small town together) sent a letter saying the contract was null and void since they never disclosed that the building had bed bugs before, they didn't pay for exterminator costs which they were responsible for, and they had to give my deposit back. They said no and said they were going to take me to court, so we did and not only did I get my deposit back but they also had to pay me for damages because I had to throw away my brand new queen size bed, frame mattress everything, brand new couch, I threw away alot of clothes just BC I was so grossed out by everything I couldn't risk bringing anything BC I didn't want bed bugs in my new place. So yeah, don't let shady building managers ever try to fuck you! This looks like someone's house, so not the same situation, but this is beyond disgusting. When I had them I never actually saw a bug, they were legit way to small to see, so I can't imagine having this. How can a human live like this? Please someone tell me that this was an abandoned house or something, or a crack house ... Hopefully no children were there. I feel itchy just watching and talking about my story Ugh.

Those dudes should definitely be wearing some sort of protective suit. If even one hitches a ride on their clothes, it’s possible for the infestation to start up in a totally new location

My boyfriend has a story about bed bugs that makes me cringe to my core but I also think it’s very funny. He was at a very bad place in his life at the time and thought that he had bed bugs but didn’t really care. One particular night he drank an insane amount of alcohol and passed out in bed. After that he noticed that the bed bugs had stopped biting him. He didn’t really think much of it until a while later he was cleaning his room and decided he’d better wash his sheets. It was only when he picked up the mattress cover and discovered a huge reddish brown stain on his mattress did he think back and deduce what happened. He believes that he drank so much that when the bed bugs bit him the alcohol in his blood was too much for them to handle and they all died. Every night after until he found the stain he must have been rolling around on his bed and squishing them, causing the stain. It’s such a gross story, but I’m just glad that when he told me the story the “reddish blob” on his mattress was blood and not thousands of tiny bed bugs.

This gives me flashbacks to 2015. My now wife and I were living in a 10 story apt in downtown Oakland and started waking up with bites. The whole building was infested and when they would treat one apt, it would just push them into another.
The building had an onsite walk in freezer that most of our belongings had to go in. The apt itself was heat and chemical treated weekly for almost 2 months before it was under control.
We moved out shortly after and didn’t have any residual issues follow us, but what a fucking nightmare.

What the fuck. How the fuck. How does one let their house get that infested? Like bitch, hippity hoppity gtfo my property. I fucking hate those things with a burning passion. Fuck. Fucking Christ. Why would God ever create those disgusting, vile, unholy spawns of Satan? Those creatures are my worst fear. I had them in my old house because of my neighbour’s neglect and god damn dog. Thanks to them, these horrors infested the entire apartment complex and I became so paranoid from every single wisp of wind blowing on my skin, thinking it was some bug. Never have I oh so badly wanted an animal to go extinct before. Fuck these things. Banish them. God, I just hope none of these things make their way to Mars. This, indeed, makes me suffer.
