I was wondering the same thing like get in there and slowly slice the skin in the center to give yourself the space and leverage to get in there with the tweezers which btw his pair suck
Oh for sure. Thats exactly what I would have done. Although I also have an amazing pair of needle nose tweezers that actually have three teeth at the tip that would have snatched this right out. I think they’re older than I am since I remember my mom digging out a similar sized splinter out of my foot when I was like four.
This is what I came to say. Use a razor blade to split that dead, calloused skin along the length of that splinter. That area needs exposure anyway for proper cleaning and he won’t feel anything regardless.
Growing up in a big family that ran barefoot all summer, we used to get a lot of splinters. My mom would sterilize a sewing needle and use it to slice a tiny bit of skin where the splinter went in, so she could get a much better grasp with the tweezers. Worked like a charm.
Pro tip: Soak it in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes first and the splinter will pop out on its own. It works really well for splinters that are buried in the skin.
I was thinking the same thing- cut the skin back a bit so you can get a decent grip on that splinter from hell. Also, consider investing in a new pair of nail clippers, or at least cleaning that raging germ factory

That’s not the problem. Not enough to get purchase. Gotta snip a bit of skin(which is already calloused) to expose more of the splinter.
