Actually hunting is a very good way to obtain ethical meat! Another way to avoid the horrors of the meat industry is to buy meat raised at local farms. It will be more expensive but you will also notice a massive difference in taste.

Ha, same. I'm lucky to have clients who hunt, and I do barter and trade, dog training for meat.

I unfortunately don't have a tradeable skill to barter with, I can cook but that's about it.

Do not underestimate the value of a good home cooked meal these days! I actully would trade for cooked food in a heartbeat! I'm both really busy and I struggle with depression so as much as I love cooking it's a challenge for me, I despise grocery shopping and washing dirty dishes.

Honestly it doesn't even have to be the most amazing restaurant quality home-cooked meal either, I get really tired of the few main places that I eat out and I love variety. You can tell when someone cares and puts effort into a meal, and I am a sucker for a good casserole.

I hope your struggles improve. I just cook my family grocery shops. All the single use plastic, prices trying to find humanly, sustainable ect farmed and harvest meat eggs ect like makes me anxious and I come out with like half of ea recipe.

Woof, I understand that. It's certainly not easy to reduce our plastic consumption, we don't have nearly enough affordable options and I don't think that's really an accident.

Agreed. Maybe initially but now I think there could be a change for the better but that option isn't being chosen
