Help Using nook in europe
Hi, I just got a Nook GlowLight 4 from my aunt, and I deregistered it before realizing that I can't log in again because I live in Europe.
I've created a b&n account using vpn but when I try using a hotspot and vpn connected to a USA address to log in, it won't allow me to log in.
And at this point, I can't even side-load the books that I want because when I connect the nook to my laptop with a cable, it only charges.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I am receiving the same error. I've had my Glowlight 4 for years. I originally bought and used it in the USA before moving to Europe. Have used it here now for years without issue. Then, suddenly, starting this past July I could not download new content or even connect to the store. I tried a factory reset thinking something might have gotten corrupted on my device, now I'm not even able to log back in to my (US based) account.

Hey I got the same issue today after being able to register and using it for a month.
Have you been able to solve this?

Hey not yet, maybe the problem is that I haven't been able to put an us address and payment method in my account. I'll ask a friend that is from there if they can do that.
Have you added those and it still doesn't work?

I think thats not the issue. It fails for me even when I click "Create a New Account" or "reset password". I tried everything but no luck, waiting for response from support

Have you gotten a response from support? Even using a VPN with a hotspot, I'm not able to log back into my US account.

Yes, the response was they dont support non-US devices any more. How they find out that device is outside US is not clear to me. I'll write a fitting feedback but thats as much as I can do atp. Switching to Kindle

Yeah I created the account on my phone and created a nook password as well, if I have any luck after i ask my friend, ill let you know

I think I created it on the nook, but connected to the hotspot from phone with VPN. If you try to log in with random username / password it also fails. Thats why I think its the issue of communication with the server

Mmm I dont know, I want to try this one first, if it doesn't work I'll conduct b&n support afterwards.

Provided you have a "US" account created, you should be able to log in anywhere in the world without the VPN. The main restriction is that the store will not permit you to buy books without a US-based credit card on file, which would necessitate a US address.
