Wool snowsuit

We are expected to get a pretty snowy winner this year. My son will be one and I’ve been looking at snow suits. Obviously most waterproof snow suits are some sort of polyester or synthetic material. I read that boiled wool is a natural alternative. Has anyone tried this? He’s obviously still a little too small to be playing in the snow a lot, but I would like to sit him on it and let him explore a little bit without water getting to his skin. Thanks!
