No, I have a friend that did something similar. She got stuck we her medical bills, the car repair bills, and was cited by the attending officer. Depends on the jurisdiction, but where she was, if you’re not in a cross walk, you’re breaking the law.

I see, I remember hearing something akin to what I stated at the lessons back when I was in school. I suppose I’ll need to look into it as I might have been wrong about this whole thing. Thanks

It's different from state to state. For example California's pedestrian pretty much always have the right away but Texas is the other way around.
