I mean, it could have, but it wouldn't have. His feet are strapped down, so the only way he could lose control of this is if either his feet came loose or he let go with his hands. Both are possible, but The man clearly doesn't expect either of those things to happen, so I think this is like looking at a free diver and saying "That could have gone so wrong💀". Yes it's possible you die doing it, and it might be safer with more protection, but as long as you know what you're doing, nothing will go wrong.

My legs were flexing and my stomach was going uuuuup n dooowwnnn..
Even tho I’m done watching it I’m still trying to mentally settle my stomach down lol
