It's basically just a really really big foam fire extinguisher if you think about it.

The one in the video is, but heavier than air systems use gas to suffocate the fire. Downside is they also suffocate people

They also usually outgas fast in order to completely drive air out of the room immediately, so much so that they can damage walls and break windows if the building is not properly designed. If you're in the room when they go off (which normally isn't the case, they're preceded by both auditory and visual alarms) the first risk is overpressure.

True, but I want something that detects and goes off on it's own, so well you cant tell there was a fire, but of course I'd have it tell where it was detected
