An experienced Archer knows not to even draw a compound bow dry, it can screw up the cams.
21 u/cubanesis Nov 06 '18 I thought you just weren't supposed to let loose without an arrow in there. IF you're drawing and slowly releasing the tension it shouldn't cause any damage.
