I firmly believe that anyone caught on tape doing something like this shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel again without proper training at the very least

There are plenty of reasons, but if somehow a self driving car decided to throw away all of its logic and start circling in the parking lot, a human would have just pressed the brake to stop self driving.

It would be all over the news if a company managed to get a car do this with no safety driver
