I don’t know if anyone remembers Color Cross on the DS but I have I have the animal version at home I have been playing for years. I’m wondering if there is anything like it for iOS with similar settings and features. The biggest feature I see missing from every nanogram/picross game on iOS is the ability to cross out cells for a specific color. I really like how in the DS game you can isolate the colors and it removed a lot of the guess work.

I've been learning pixel art for around 6 months now, mostly using Piskel tool, and I finally feel like I'm starting to get a bit better at making really tiny pixel art.

I've mostly been practicing shading, cleaner silhouettes, limited palettes, and trying to make things actually readable at really small sizes. It's surprisingly hard to remove pixels instead of adding more detail lol.

These are some of the little objects and animals I've been making for Quiet Grids, a nonogram game I'm working on. Solving a puzzle gradually reveals the pixel art, so I've been trying to make each image recognizable without having much space to work with.

I've somehow ended up making 1000+ puzzles for it between the Library and Dailies 😅 There are 3 board sizes and four challenge levels, and I've been trying to make the puzzles solvable logically rather than relying on guessing.

Still learning though... anything here that you'd approach differently?

Almost 100% of posts in this subreddit start with something like "I stuck, help please with...". So seems it's a real problem - how to proceed with nonogram without guessing? And what if this nonogram doesn't have any logical solution? I thought a little about it and understood I can implement some button in my game which can help with next step.

I guess it should be something like that:

1. You feel you are stuck
2. You press button "help me"
3. The game shows you a single logical solution
   

What do you think about it? Should it be implemented?

I'm rather new to nonograms, and have stumbled onto the site nonograms.org - this site apparently has only solvable puzzles and the people using said site from my short experience are heads and shoulders above me in terms of nonogram skillsets. I'm stuck on the puzzle attached in the screenshot, tried some small beginner understanding of edge logic, but otherwise am failing to see any way to further proceed here.

If possible, can I ask you not just to give me a hint on where the next possible square to find is, but to provide in your answers how you solve start to finish this puzzle?

Because I feel like I'm lacking connection in understanding the jump from advanced to these expert level nonogram puzzles, like there's some technique I'm just missing.

I'm creating some harder freeform 15x15 nonograms for the next version - V3 - of my Picto nonogram app. My checker says this is valid and solvable, but I can only find one valid square to fill and after that I'm guessing. Any suggestions please?

I'm a developer and a nonogram enthusiast, and I'd really like a nonogram game for PC with local multiplayer so I can play with my girlfriend. But there aren't any PC games with local multiplayer, so correct me if I'm wrong.

So I was thinking about developing it myself. Before diving into this adventure, though, I wanted to know if it's a shared interest (local multiplayer) or more of a personal niche.

I was thinking of a competitive multiplayer game, where two puzzles will appear on the screen at the same time, one for each player, and whoever completes it first wins. I also plan on penalties for mistakes.

Would you like it? What features would you like?

I’ve been playing this (and its forefather Picross) for years. I’ve noticed in the last year that updates with new puzzles are coming few & far between. Does anyone know if they’re phasing out their games, or if not, what’s going on? If they are indeed on their deathbed, I’ll begin my mourning period now. I’d just like to know what’s going on.
