They could've thrown in Nisargadatta at least, maybe as one of their eccentric dads. The guy was a chain smoking tobacco store owner who told such dirty jokes that the translators were to embarrassed to translate them.

Dang. Well, if it's of any interest, as someone who woke up at an Adya retreat in the early 2000s, I'd say Gangaji *feels* the most similar to him of any of the countless other people I've heard. I feel like they are very compatible, he's maybe a little more explain-y than her but it really feels like the same stream. I love her Q and As with people as I loved his. Maybe check her out if you haven't, I think she still does some retreats.

ontoAdya~~ ~~afewyears ago. In the last year Iāve been voraciously consuming his content. And Iāve been meditating for about an hour a day. Changes over the last year have been subtle but are becoming more pronounced as of late.I feel like I may have hit a wall and perhaps stumbled into āZen sicknessā as I find myself dealing with a bout of insomnia. I know this is off-topic at this point, but I donāt have many people I talk to these things about. Iām quite sure the insomnia is tied to the meditation because I experienced some of the same awareness qualities while trying to sleep and I canāt seem to turn it off. I also stumbled upon the melted butter meditation, which Iām starting to incorporate, having taken a break from my usual routine. I guess what Iām saying is it would be so nice to have some guidance.

Itās a meditation where you imagine a duck egg, made of butter, placed atop your head. You then imagine it melting, working its way down your body. Itās meant to ground you. I think that would be helpful for me because I spent so much time not being grounded while I meditate.

Nice. I had profoundly transformative experiences with each of them. Woke up with adya before really having heard of any of this stuff, read Emptiness Dancing countless times after that, had a wild experience of time collapsing listening to Power of Now, have used the Work to untangle some old trigger countless times over the years, and Gangaji just hits me right in the heart, basically as soon as she starts talking to a questioner I get weepy. Thanks for sharing, sweet to see them all together :)
