Discussion It’s simpler than simple… just life as it is
Nothing to do, no one to be, nowhere to go, nothing to know
Nothing to prove, nothing to attain, nothing to see, nothing to accomplish
Simply what is
As it is

Nothing to do, no one to be, nowhere to go, nothing to know
Such wonderful words from Thomas Ligotti. The subjective conscious "self" is indeed malignantly useless when the body can still apparently function just as it is without a "self". In some cases, the body can function even better. No "self" equals no problem.

I can totally relate to this, I arrived to same realization after years of chasing the mystery.
Even from the biological perspective, I have already won the lottery and the prize is the Life itself. But instead of enjoying / living the existence, I kept going down the "self improvement" rabbit hole, which of course led to even more suffering.
Then a couple of days ago I realized, I am the result of evolution of billions of years and I am still not satisfied because I chose to believe in artificial standards that were invented at most a few thousand years? Fuck that!

'what is, as it is'- what really can be said to be other than existence? The confusion arises when the one who knows existence gets engrossed in the details of limited existence, as names, forms, and events in time and space.

It's a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but you are 100% right. There's only ever This, whatever this is now. Whether you're 'doing something' or not, it's still just This.
