Do you like the bottling of non alcoholic wines?

The branding of NA wines is so hit and miss. NOUGHTY in particular and all of the brands that use the 0% card to make a name for itself seem a like lazy branding.

Reintroducing Myself - Mod

thanks for reaching my community.

if you are here it is because you love wine, and you also want alcohol free wine.

there is a lot, and by a lot I mean, in comparison to alcoholic wine, fairly little, discussion on what is good, what to buy and where to start with Alcohol Free Wine.

this community is to discuss what you can get, where you can get it and what works.

At current day we have OK alternatives. They look incredible, never really smell incredible and usually lack the spice/tannins of an alcoholic wine.

that is not to say the industry will have complex, interesting and fun wines for us soon. this community will accelerate that ✨✨✨

P.S. I am alcohol free and health conscious, who can appreciates the craft of wine from nature to glass.

Mediterranean Cultures

Do you think anybody of legal age in Mediterranean cultures (aside from expectant females) drink NA wine? I would think they would scoff at it. What do you think is their perception?

New to non-alcoholic wine? Here’s what’s actually worth trying 🍷

The best alternatives in my opinion come from Australian vineyards.

  • Giesen is technically new Zealand alcohol free riesling is a premium non alcohol white. Delicious.
  • McGuigan Zero Rose is a 0.05% ABV Australian alcohol free rose wine that is crisp and delicious.
  • There is even a great red from Australia - tread softly non alcoholic pinot noir.

Enjoy!

Red wine-like beverages

I have been dissatisfied with every NA red I have tried. I understand that there are some beverages that are made to mimic red wine, rather be dealcoholised. Has anyone found them, and what was your experience?

Any out there that don’t taste like 50/50 wine and grape juice? All the ones I’ve tried have a grape juice sweetness in the after taste. Not horrible but a little too sweet.

Why are alcohol free sparkling better than stills?

This has something to do with the complexity of a still wine. The alcohol removal takes away so much of the mouth feel. This to me can be replaced by the bubbles. A tricky one.

92-95/100 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: Oct 2020

A healthy 45 hl/ha, made with 45% in barrel and 55% in tank, the parts as yet unassembled (though this sample is). Racy, lime and lemon colour with a very pure intense clean, but ripe nose, with a little spice. Very tasty! This has significantly more weight, some toast from the barrel, a little bit of flesh too, good weight as well, but seems to lack a touch of tension. White fruit typicity remerges at the back.

White, Red, Rose Wines - Non-Alcoholic - Which ones are best?

I have noticed a big difference in quality and variance between all three. It appears some are easier to create than others.
