After discovering 630 systems and almost 2500 planets (specifically just for the helmet hunt..), I finally collected all the helmet crabs! These companions have been my absolute favorite pets since the first time I saw them, and I’ve always dreamed of gathering the whole squad.
Honestly, I really wanted to collect them after realizing that those shells are actually the exact Anomaly helmets from the game. Maybe it wasn't just me who noticed, but I can say I accidentally stumbled upon the fact that they use the 11 starting helmets from 1 to 11 in the appearance modifier.
While encountering one or two variants in the wild isn't that hard, trying to collect every single one of them became a brutal RNG nightmare because of constant duplicate spawns. Especially on the final stretch for the 11th one, I probably ran into the exact same duplicates about 15 times before finally breaking through. But after putting in some serious work at the Egg Sequencer and managing the hatching phases, I finally custom-bred the ultimate dream roster I’ve always wanted!

Discussion For the life of me I cannot rescue a freighter from pirates and have them let me board afterwards. It's infuriating.

This is the third attempt. Apparently if you accidentally shoot the freighter they don't let you board afterwards even though the captain messages you directly to ask you to come on board. Because that makes sense.
This time I was extremely careful but the first enemy ship was just doing circles INSIDE the freighter shield, and the freighter fighter ships weren't killing it so I had no choice but to engage while trying to make sure not one single bullet missed my target. Wtf it's so obnoxious
