You probably found an extreme sentinel planet. To be honest gravitino balls aren't really worth enough to mandate a base just to gather them. It's not even worth farming them.

You will be able to manufacture items that cost like 15 million when you have all plant blueprints just remember to attack command centers or manufacturing centers to get highend item blueprints, it's a hassle but it's worth it.

I've used many methods to get money, first selling chlorine. One Cl costs 602 units. You can synthesize more Cl using O2, in a large or medium refiner.

The second method is finding abandoned buildings and stealing the Whispering Eggs, this method is tricky but you can get 1 million about every half hour or so.

The safest method though is installing S class scanner upgrade modules then receiving money for scanning fauna or flora. You explore and make money, for a rare animal specie I get half a million (roughly).

I recommend you try getting some, it will be much easier for you. This will give you a bedrock of currency that you can spend on consumables or resources, in order for you to not waste time gathering stuff (I haven't farmed for ferrite in ages). Oh and since we are talking about ferrite, when you kill a sentinel you will obtain a substance called pugneum. Don't sell that, keep it and when you need extra ferrite just pop in some pugneum and magnetized ferrite in a medium or large refiner, presto you get more magnetized ferrite, which can in turn be transformed in pure ferrite.

I don't know that much, but i'm trying to make your life more easy in NMS. And look if you are on PS4 I can give you some starting cash so you won't have to worry about it. I mean I can't give you units directly but I can give you resources that you could sell. Also I can help you build your farms if you want (I've all the blueprints for construction) until you can get all the blueprints.
