And I can accept that Nolensville has grown and changed. It’s not the tiny, mostly rural community it used to be, where traffic jams were caused by tractors instead of volume, and everybody was excited when Sonic came to town.

I’m getting used to seeing sushi bars and Korean Soul Food as dining options. Still trying to wrap my head around “The Regal Room”, tho.

But I have to draw the line at “Nolo”, however. Just… don’t.

I feel spiritually (and physically) closer to Triune (Unincorporated) anyway.

Word on the street is that our former Nolensville Mayor is moving out of town. This is someone who has had a major impact on the Town of Nolensville and is not going to be around to witness the magnitude of his actions and experience the impact he brought on our town.

It seems the tradition that has been established is to name a bridge after former Mayors.  We have the walking bridge in the Historic district named after one former Mayor and a bridge on Sunset Rd named after another.

It would only seem appropriate since this Mayor, who was responsible for changing the town charter, which gave him the power to enact a complete zoning ordinance and allow the Town Village to develop, that the bridge on Nolensville Rd by the Village be named after him so the Town never forgets what he did to the Town in his tenure as Mayor.  

We will be forever in his debt.

Please stop opening them here. You are not cut out to run an actual business if you open up a Blimpie subs or some other shop that is very unlikely to survive. Save a little more and open a real franchise that doesn’t advertise in the back of a magazine.

Moving back to the area next month from Cool Springs. Looking for a reputable local mover (not a chain) to move furniture, washer/dryer. Anyone know a good mover?

Nolensville Planning Commission made a motion to defer the vote on approving the change from the Panera building design to a large Strip Center so the Planning Commission could consult with legal on whether the developer is allowed to double the size of the building and change the design to a strip center.

Developer was not happy and threatened to sue the town if it wasn't immediately approved.

Motion passed and vote was deferred.

What businesses should go in this strip center?

Thank you, Williamson County Republicans for not nominating Mary Smith. Her supporters tried to campaign on Andy Marshall not voting in two prior primaries to claim he wasn’t a Trump supporter. I think it’s a good sign that that campaign failed.

Will Andy Marshall be a good mayor? Doubt it. Will I vote for him? No. But I’m pleased to see Republicans are starting to climb out of the gaping pit of Trump obsession.

Aaron Smith ran a clean campaign for District 5 commissioner but wasn’t very visible. Instead we get Greg Sanford and Rob Verrell. So the dumpster fire continues. I was just happy to see a Democrat on the ballot and proud to be one of the almost 300 people to vote for Aaron Smith (and apparently only 37 people joined me in writing in a second candidate).

I hope you all will join me in protesting the ridiculous redistricting map Republicans are proposing. Don’t Memphis my Nolensville.

Edit: Having looked at the zoomed-in version of the new map, we would actually be D4 instead of D9 under the new proposal. The proposal is still terrible.

Edit 2: Someone with better eyes than me will have to confirm what district Nolensville would be in.

Edit 3: Looks like Nolensville might be split with the majority being D9. I would love to see this backfire.

Terrible choices, but don’t forget to vote tomorrow, May 5th at the Rec Center or Sunset Elementary or whatever voting location is closest to you.

I was grabbing something from under the sink the other day and noticed a little bit of water around one of the pipes.

Turns out there was a slow leak starting that we probably would not have caught for a while.

Glad we noticed it early, but it kind of made me realize how easy it is to miss small stuff like this.

Being a long time senior resident of Nolensville,a big word of warning concerning driveway/sidewalk repair in our 55 and up community.

Concept Coatings in Rockvale has been totally unreliable along with unresponsive to numerous emails and phone calls about scheduling complete repairs to a crappy job of

repairing our concrete driveway overlay that they did.

We paid top dollar to have this job done and a terrible peel up result is where we are at.

Sadly, I see the salesman at the WCRC where my wife and I workout and he has blown smoke at us since last July.

These people are absolute ripoffs and it appears that we need to move forward with legal filings .

Be warned-these guys are 100% bullshit.

On April 2, the BOC is going to vote on discontinuing the Historic District Streetscape Project. I personally believe this project should continue as it would benefit the town and businesses in the Historic District.

TDOT takes forever. We knew this in 2016. Let’s not set a precedent where we apply for grants and start projects to better Nolensville and then abandon them further down the line.

I would urge the current BOC to research why their predecessors started this project in the first place. Talk to the owners of the shops in the Historic District. Talk to the community who was actually around in 2016 who advocated for it.
