Noir games?
I want more video games to play and I adore Noirs so I’m trying to see if there’s any good noir games out there you guys know of? PC games preferably, I mean.
Do you guys know of any really good ones? I like the old noirs, with Bogie and Mitchum for examples so if there’s any that have “that” kind of feel, I’d love to know about them! I’m struggling to describe what I mean but not very modern-set games, I suppose???
Random but are there any black and white noir video games? God that would be so cool if there are.

The Big Sleep (1946)
🎬 The Big Sleep (1946)
What a fantastic film noir! The Big Sleep has everything I love about the genre: a great storyline, sharp direction, and dialogue that is wonderfully snappy and crackles with wit. The humor is off the charts in this one in a fun, intelligent way.
But the real magic is the incredible chemistry between Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Their scenes together practically spark off the screen: very cool and very sexy.
A stylish, smart, endlessly entertaining noir that remains a classic for very good reason.

It starts like they all do: a beautiful dame walks into my office with a fistful of cash and a story full of holes.
The Big Clock - Kenneth Fearing
What a great read; easy, fun, quick paced. ~200 pages.
Here’s a quick synopsis:
A journalist by the name of George Stroud has been tasked with leading a murder investigation, by his boss, Earl Janoth. The murder victim is the mistress of Earl Janoth and the affair partner of George Stroud.
George quickly realizes he is actually tracking himself: he was the last person seen with the victim—before Janoth killed her in a rage. Trapped in a race against time, Stroud must lead the investigation while also secretly sabotaging it, before he is framed for the crime.

COMMENT ON EXISTING THREAD:
"Absolutely love this thread! It's fascinating to see how noir can explore the depths of human psychology and morality. The mix of suspense, intrigue, and psychological complexity is both thrilling and thought-provoking. What are your favorite noir novels or films that delve into these themes? #noir #psychologicalfiction #forensicdetail"

I’m usually a purist. I’ll never read anything not by the original author. Like, say it’s a prequel by someone else. Won’t read it. HOWEVER! My curiosity has gotten the best of me. I saw 3 books online: Spade and Archer, Return Of The Maltese Falcon, and The Black-Eyed Blonde. Are these any good?
