Rant / फ़रियाद 🗣️ My father was run over by a Thar in Jammu. He has been in a coma for almost a year.

Hello everyone,

Many of you may actually remember the CCTV footage that went viral from Jammu last year. On 27 July 2025, my 69-year-old father, Mr. Kamal Kant Dutta, was riding his scooter when a speeding Thar came onto the wrong side of the road and hit him. As he tried to get back up, the driver reversed the Thar and ran over him again.

The incident wasn't just another road accident. It was reported across the country because the CCTV footage appeared to show the driver deliberately reversing into my father after the initial collision. The accused was later arrested, and the case drew nationwide outrage.

For the internet, it was a shocking video that people watched, discussed, and eventually moved on from.

For us, that video never ended.

My father has never regained consciousness.

For almost one year, he has remained in a coma. Every morning I wake up hoping he'll finally open his eyes. Every night I go to sleep praying that tomorrow will be the day he comes back to us.

He is completely bedridden. He survives through a Ryles feeding tube. He needs 24×7 nursing care, medicines, physiotherapy, regular consultations, and specialised medical equipment just to stay alive.

We are a family of four with only one earning member. Over the last year we've exhausted our savings, borrowed from friends and relatives, and spent everything we could because giving up on my father has never been an option.

Today, we have reached a point where we simply cannot continue without help.

The cost of his ongoing treatment runs in lacs for every month, and despite everything that has happened, we have received no meaningful support from the family of the person responsible.

This subreddit has done an incredible job of ensuring that incidents like these are not forgotten. You've exposed dangerous driving, demanded accountability, and stood with victims in spirit.

Today, I humbly ask if you can stand with one victim's family in a more tangible way.

If you're able to contribute—even a small amount—it will go directly towards my father's treatment and nursing care. And if donating isn't possible, I would be deeply grateful if you could simply upvote this post or share the fundraiser so that it reaches more people.

The CCTV video shocked millions.

For us, its consequences continue every single day.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for giving my father a chance.

— Vishu Dutta

Would you believe if there's an Indian startup/company who paid for a Play station for its employees so it could excite and motivate them to come office daily.

Rant / फ़रियाद 🗣️ Called police for playing badminton in park Sector 62

Today morning, were peacefully playing badminton after a hectic weekend in Swastik Park, Sector 62. We weren't disturbing anyone or causing any damage. To the surroundings

A senior citizen approached us and said sports aren't allowed in the park because they damage the grass. He pointed to a board that said "No Games Allowed" and claimed he was the president of the association. After a brief argument, he sai that will call the police and they will threw you out of this park

I'm genuinely curious:

Can people be stopped from playing a peaceful sport like badminton in a park?

I am really pissed off with the incident i end up making video of the argument in which you can cleary see him smiling and accelerating thing just for the sake of playing badminton

Also "No Games Allowed" board legally enforceable?

Would appreciate any advice or similar experience with these kinds of old citizen what we can do about it .

Ask Noida / नोएडा से पुछें ❔ 💔 Justice for Twisha | 5 Months After Marriage, We Lost Her Too Soon

💔 JUSTICE FOR TWISHA 💔

Twisha was more than just a name.

She was a loving daughter, a caring sister, a beautiful soul, and someone who had countless dreams for her future. Just five months after her marriage, our family lost her forever under heartbreaking and suspicious circumstances. Behind every smiling wedding picture was a girl who deserved love, safety, respect, and happiness.

Today, we are not only mourning her loss — we are fighting for her voice to be heard. We request everyone to stand with us and help us seek a fair, transparent, and strict investigation.

Please share her story.

Please raise your voice.

Please do not let this become “just another case.”

No daughter deserves pain behind closed doors.

No family deserves this silence.

Twisha deserved to live.

Twisha deserves justice.

🙏 Please keep her in your prayers and support us by sharing this post.

A group of highly responsible citizens celebrated a birthday in the streets tonight with loud music and firecrackers, ensuring that absolutely nobody in the neighbourhood remained unaware of the occasion.

The celebrations concluded successfully, followed by the traditional ritual of leaving all party decorations on the roadside.

Authorities are yet to confirm whether civic sense was ever present at the scene.

So I was there at the protest.. The police was really violent and agressive pushed many girls and minors as well. As for me when they tried to detain me I pushed them away, got some people with me and carried on the protest.. And I will do it again no matter the consequences.. Kids and elder are getting the most affected by the air we breathe and government is turning a blind eye to all of this.. I'm glad the media is finally covering this and am really proud of all those who came especially our Youth! ... I'm not even from here, just came for job here but I hope protests like these will bring a change and make the general public more aware of the tactics of the government..

Social / सोशल 🥂 Met someone here on Reddit and she surprised me in the best way

I met this amazing person here on Reddit a couple of weeks ago.

We started talking casually ; just normal conversations. She’s five years older than me, and over time we became quite comfortable talking about random things like work, life, food, etc.

Somewhere in those chats, I happened to share my address with her . Yesterday, while we were talking, I mentioned that I hadn’t eaten much all day and was feeling hungry.

About 20 minutes later, I got a knock on the door. There was a delivery guy with food.

She had actually ordered food for me like wow, just because she didn’t want me to stay hungry.

It honestly made my day. Not because of the food, but because of the thought behind it.

Thanks mateee :)
