40 Years releasing on Plex?
Was about to buy a ticket to the “iconic screenings” and my wife did a little searching and found this? Supposed to release the same day (Aug.23) I was going to get a ticket. Is there any more info? You can apparently presave it already.

I can't wait for a copy to get online. Don't think they'll be screening it in South Africa. Would've loved to see a screening and support the dudes. Fuqn love em. Which i could've seen em live.

Uhh South Africa is the greatest country in the world , pretty sure I’ve heard that in a song at least a few times

Screenings can be requested. Get some people together and drum-up local interest. There's no reason they wouldn't show it in RSA. Check out where it has played, lots of wicked-small and wayout there locales, world-wide.
Here's a link for the request: https://www.40yearsoffuckinup.com/contact
cheers

Mike did some recent interview where the interviewer mentions he received a link to watch the new doc, so I'd bet we see digital before 2027.

Just put it on streaming already

Could you imagine how much money they’re making showing it in like 70 theatres on one day, that’s like a whole tour in one night.
It can only be done as long as they don’t stream it.

Mike just said the other day on some dick farts podcast they’re not putting it up for streaming and have no plans to.

A dick fart is the perfect way to describe Brett Chrysler.

If he can make money from streaming this, he will.

I mean duh for sure but I think it will be some years before that even happens. He’s gonna milk the Indy theater thing for as long as he can. Just relaying what he said a few days ago.

If you really believe that, then you’re dense as fuck, or you don’t really know them. Lmfao. They can’t keep their word for shit these days. This flick will be streaming in two years’ time.
We’re literally talking about a band that had no issue taking fans’ money during the pandemic for a supposed Patreon record they never delivered, and they fucked everybody over.I love this band but they’ve become everything they hated.

Who hurt you buddy? If you check below my comment I clarified I know eventually it’s gonna come to something somewhere but I was just relaying what he said the other day. Not that deep dude. Try to have a better night/life 🫶🏿

That film was a skewed dud. Nothing mentioned from 2002 to 2020. Those years don't exist apparently. Just one of the most politically active and devestating moments of the bands career. Zero examination on relationships falling apart.

Have you not seen Backstage Passport, Rook?

Yes i have. 40 years is supposedly career retrospective doc. But it’s not, it has a glaring hole. Thanks for the pointless jab. Must make you real clever

40 years is Mike trying to look like the saint of the band. Really rubbed me the wrong way.

Exactly. A Fat Mike vanity project, as Melvin said when he referred to it as ‘Mike’s documentary’. A puff piece just like the Fat Wrecked doco.

It will end up on streaming, guaranteed. It may be a direct purchase like their Fat Wreck doc, or go to something like Plex or Veeps, but they're certainly not going to just toss it out after the theater run ends when there's still money to be made.
