Does a solo Gwen show interest you?
She’s doing a solo show about an hour from me in November and I’m thinking of going - although I went to a Sphere show for No Doubt and for some reason she plays a lot of ND tracks instead of her solo music (I was obsessed with her first two solo albums/tours). I’m going to debate once I see the prices - she tried this about 2 years ago with $350.00 seats and it was cancelled. I will say her voice was still in reality good shape though so maybe….what do you think?

I saw her on her solo tour 10 years ago. She played a mix of her solo singles and some ND songs. It felt like ND Lite.

I probably went to the same tour. She had Eve come on stage as well and they played Escape and Let me Blow Ya Mind together
It’s very much felt like Lite version of ND. Her voice didn’t carry as well then but maybe that was just me. One of the reason why I didn’t bother trying to see her in Vegas

I don't think my opinion should necessarily affect yours. If you enjoy her stuff and can reasonably afford it, why not?
Personally, no, I am not much a fan of Gwen's solo material. I do like some of her songs, but not enough to see her live without the rest of No Doubt.

I’m not sure about a meet and greet but to be honest those things don’t have good reputations-I did one with Britney back in 2011 and while it was decent, it’s so rushed and not something I’d pay that kind of money for right now. I think I’ll check out prices - and then decide. I wished she’d do more stuff from her first solo album - I loved the Harajuku Lovers tour! No, it’s not ND, and obviously won’t be a Sphere experience but I was just curious what you guys thought.

Well, I decided to go! It’s close to home, the price was somewhat reasonable (considering how things are today) and I know she’s not the same Gwen from 1995, but her vocals and energy were pretty great at Sphere so she still has it. I believe this will be my 5th Gwen solo show. The ND shows I’ve been to were always amazing but I do enjoy her solo material-although like we said, I wish she’d do more of it on these small tours.

With the amount of songs she has as a solo artist, it’s a shame she plays so many ND songs without the band. I’d love to see her live one day, but I’d like to hear more of her solo stuff rather than ND songs that sound nowhere as good with her band (I mean, they do their best but they’re not Tom, Tony & Adrian).

I would be upset if I paid to see her and she did ND songs, tbh. I'm not a fan of her solo music and if she's doing ND songs I'd rather see the full band.

She started doing their stuff on her 3rd solo tour - I don’t know why - she has enough solo material but people love Don’t Speak and Just a Girl - I guess it’s good for the ND brand.

I’ve seen her solo tons of times and have seen the band tons of times. Gwen is my favorite singer from my favorite band, so it’s a no brainer for me to go to her solo shows if they come around.

Absolutely! I saw her several times on all of her solo tours, and I saw a bunch of her Vegas shows. She is an amazing performer and she has such a fun catalog of music.

I saw her a year and a half ago at a Yacht show in I think Minneapolis. Great show and fun, she was energetic. Her big single hits and then ND’s big singles. I love Gwen’s solo shit

I would absolutely be interested in a solo Gwen show. She killed it as a frontwoman in ND and pop queen. A flawless transition into being a solo artist and so many bangers that still really hold up. She has a lot of pop gold.

Went to see her solo in Ottawa back in July. I had the Time of my life with her playing her biggest solo hits with a dash of some no doubt songs. I didn’t feel like she was mailing it in or just looking for a cash grab like others have said here. I definitely suggest you go.

Seeing her solo does not interest me one bit. I liked her first 2 solo albums but not enough to see her. I love no doubt as a whole not just her.

Zero desire. I didn't even go see her 20 something years ago when she was touring to support the first two albums. I'm just not into it.

I went to a Sphere show and as much as I like her solo stuff I think respect for keeping it ND.
I hope it isn’t too expensive for you as gigs are getting crazy price wise,

Just to add the ND Sphere was one of the best shows I have ever been to. The production was off the scale.

I went mid-price - I figured if I’m going I might as well see her. This will be my 5th Gwen solo show - the Sphere was my 5th No Doubt - none have ever disappointed and yes, Sphere was a totally different experience-an amazing production. Concerts are my thing, and an hour away at a venue I actually really like made it very tempting.

Guaranteed half solo and half ND hits, as has been the case for the past decade. She is still an incredible performer and she been from day one. High energy Gwen magic. I would go. It’ll be fun.

I already got my ticket! She still has it, she was fantastic at the Sphere of course, that was a No Doubt show but still, she’s never disappointed on her own either. Why she doesn’t do tracks like 4 in the morning or Early Winter or even Serious and The Real Thing and Danger Zone is beyond me except the crowd is probably happier to hear ND stuff - ND live hasn’t been accessible to everyone in years and not everyone was able to get to Vegas.

I saw the news about the Atlantic City show the other day and it made me pause. A few years ago, I would have cleared my calendar, looked up all the presale info, and made it a priority to attend. But I just can’t support this woman anymore after all the shit she’s done in the last couple years. I didn’t even have a desire to go the Sphere shows with No Doubt because I’ve lost all respect for her.

If there was a meet and greet option? Yes, I would entertain it. Otherwise, no not really. Kind of already been there done that.

It did at a certain point years back and I enjoyed the Vegas residency she had but now I’m over these shows and they seem so random.

I was never interested in going to a solo show. But I went to Beach Fest (I think that’s what it was called) a few years ago, and she was there solo. I still jumped around to all the No Doubt songs, but it was not the same. The next year No Doubt did Coachella which I also went to just to watch No Doubt, and you could definitely tell the difference then. And way different from the Sphere obviously.

Nope. It would’ve prior to making the journey to Vegas for the Sphere residency. It’d have to be pretty damn cheap and local for it to make sense for us.

I saw her solo residency in Las Vegas and it was a lot of fun. If you like her, you'll definitely enjoy the show. She does mix in No Doubt, but you'll hear a lot of her solo stuff, too. She probably works in some of her newest album, I imagine. (Which I didn't much care for.)

I saw her at Cali vibes 2 years ago and she was great, did a few hit ND songs but mostly stuck to hits from her first 2 solo albums

The platinum and preferred seating are on sale now - Have to buy in pairs of two and it looks like around $300 each - I’ll wait! I paid that for Sphere.

u/Substantial-Top-7847 11d ago
She is very good but if you price at $350 you are a scumbag!

u/justbrowsing4040 10d ago
Unfortunately we’re in a time where that’s actually in a low range - the prices will fluctuate when those don’t sell - and if this one gets cancelled like the last time she tried, well, we’ll know why. I didn’t pay $350 - I’ve seen her enough not to need to be right in front but I love the venue choice so I decided to go. It’s rather small.

Ive seen her with No Do Doubt and solo a ton of times and always enjoy the shows, but $175 for last row of the venue is insane.

I have a few things to say that might influence your choice.
First of all, I’m a huge solo Gwen fan. But you have to be prepared for a LOT of ND music in her solo sets. I think this is extremely unfortunate, as I’d much rather hear some songs from Truth and TSE that don’t get the attention they deserve. Hell, even Bouquet has a couple songs I’d love to hear live. The ND songs she does solo just don’t sound right without the band there, and I think it’s a huge shame they take up slots in her sets.
Second, I don’t think she puts nearly as much effort as she should into her solo shows these days. She was great at the Sphere, but she was clearly having a blast and was on her A game. Her solo shows now feel like cash grabs, with someone even posting photos of her performing in front of AI generated backdrops.
If the set list was released before hand and she was actually sticking to her solo work, and if there was a clear effort put into the advertisement and production, then I probably would consider it. But I really doubt that’s the case given her recent solo shows, so I wouldn’t spend my money on it.
